Sorry for late response. To pick up your passport from AVO you need to give a courier (I used DHL) mandate to pick it up. DHL will request for the pick up mail from AVO and a letter of authorization from you.

Good day house. i am new to this forum and would like information regarding express entry.

To start with, do a 3yr Bachelor's Degree in Performing Arts (unilorin), and then a short Certificate Course in Directing for the Screen (NFI Jos) qualify as 2 or more certificates? Considering the fact that the latter was taken after the degree and it is practice based.

Hello House,

I would like to know if I can use a fixed deposit as my POF, I recently quit my job and I had to liquidate my Cooperative account which is in a fixed deposit account. I don't have a bank statement to show that I have had the funds for over six months and may not be able to get a valid statement from the coop society, they basically send the statement in excel format, no extras.

Hello House,
I have been trying to have my wife's ICAN ATS certificate assessed along with her BSc. While WES has verified her BSc documents, ICAN is yet to clear her with WES. I have read on this forum that her ICAN ATS cannot be used to claim points for 2 certificates. My question now is, Can she withdraw her ICAN ATS from documents to be assessed by WES? if yes, how can we go about this. Thx

WES says they don't assess professional qualifications from Nigeria on their website but it's ironical to me that people are claiming that the qualifications (e.g ACCA) were assessed by them. Something is definitely wrong somewhere.

Let WES decide. Better that way than go with speculations which is what we will likely tell you here cuz of the peculiarity of your case. Seems to me its a professional certificate and not an academic one and as such, it's not likely to be useful in getting marks for 2 CERTIFICATES. The only way it may count is if WES recognizes NFI as an academic institution licensed to award National degrees/diploma/Certificate but then, its still a speculation so, let WES decide

Login into your account, get to the page where details of your account showing your EE profile is displayed, you will see an icon 'Check Messages', click on it and the next page you will see is where your score is displayed. Scroll down that page and you will see your account details outlayed again, click on the details, it will drop down a little and you will see a short link that says 'click here'. Click that and the pdf message will download for you

After you submit you'll receive a message in your mycic account in PDF format. Open the pdf document and you'll see your score and how to register for job bank. However if you do not receive this message after a few days you'll have to delete your profile and create a new one because there's sometimes a glitch in the system.

Except you can get a One Year Masters programme to do, a professional certificate wont help. The one year Masters even gets you higher score than a 2certificates. For now, you may only go with your Bsc and IELTS

It can't go beyond what that calculator tells you. In case you are yet to do your ECA, you you should still indicate the equivalent of Bsc while filling your details in the calculator.

I apologize ahead if this question has been answered before. Please do you mind detailing the steps after receiving the Decision Made notification?

What are the next steps? Is there an interview scheduled?

Also before you got the DM update, did you receive any emails from CIC requesting anything or any information?

Is there a requirement that the applicant has to be in Nigeria at the time the Decision Made notification comes?

Please advise.

Input from other Elders in the house who have submitted their application is welcome.

No interview, No additional document request, No decision made status as most applicants lost access to ECAS few months ago. And you can be anywhere for your PPR, you only have to request a change of visa office for visa stamping.
