Hello Mamas, just thought to share this recipe gotten from Natural Delicious baby food group on facebook.

Let your baby enjoy chicken potpourri this weekend ooh (From 8 months up)

Ingredients:
1 medium sized deboned & chopped chicken (Preferably chest)
Handful of fresh green peas (or 2tbsp)
Handful scrapped, chopped carrots
Pinch of dried thyme
1 garlic clove
1 medium sized potato, chopped
Water
20cl homemade chicken stock (optional)

Method:
Simply add all ingredients except the stock and cook on low heat
Add in stock after 5 minutes if using.
When chicken is fully cooked, turn off heat and allow to cool before pureeing/mashing as it applies to your baby.

@Nita2013 - Please ask your sister to exercise her faith over both children but for now she should please avoid the foods not to be eaten. They will outgrow the allergies anyway! i'm just imagining the poor baby itching and itching. I had allergies too and today thankfully they're mostly gone.

Allergies can be deadly if not well managed so she should please spend a lot of time praying for healing but avoid the avoidables for now!

1. my baby does this trembling legs sometimes.. it jes vibrates for a few seconds n stops.it worries me
2. the caregiver my mum brought has abandoned all the Johnsons baby products I bought n is nw using palm kernel oil ori. olive oil on my baby..n shez getting black
3. is it too early for me to start using ori and skineal on her cos the way Dey cover her ehnn. closed windows no fan.. n she'll jes be sweating.
4.I am naturally extremely skinny..and on exclusive feeding. bt everyone says iv dried up to bones dat I nid to introduce milk. because I av a bad eating habit my mum shouts dat exclusive feeding isnt for the likes of me.

If you can see another Dr it'll be good preferably a skin specialist. Or else try a reputable pharmacist around you. They may be able to help.

You need to sort it before jt spreads or scars him permanently

You need to get that trembling leg checked out immediately. It'll also help your state of mind.

There's nothing wrong with palm kernel oil and Shea and olive oil. Just make sure its used moderately. If you really don't want it simply ask the care giver firmly not to use it. Johnson products do not lighten the skin and besides every baby cannot be yellow

Why is skinneal being used? Was it recommended because I know its not an everyday body cream. Please be careful with its use

While babies should be kept warm I don't think closed windows all day is the solution. Again its you who can moderate that

If you have made up your mind to exclusively breastfeed the baby then you better begin to eat properly or else it'll be a waste of time for all involved. If your mum is available to cook let her do so and you eat small meals frequently round the clock.

@Eudora, I dnt know about d trembling leg buh wen I had my baby 3mnths ago, her body did tremble expecially wen d rum is quiet and som1 enters unexpectedly or wen u try 2 lift her 4rm d bed(dunno if it's same with urs) my doc adviced I take calcium tablets...... It stopped after 2days.(pls confirm 4rm ur doc b4 self medication).
EBF is not subjected 2 just modas dt are fleshy...... Just try and eat well..... Expecially food dt can make u lactate well so ur baby won't be underfed. EBF actually makes me loose weight if I dnt eat well, so u hv 2 try and eat well .

Over covering of babies ain't good o...... Gone are dose days our modas virtually seal errwhr of air and still cover us with errtn down 2 duvet . Give baby some air Mehn. Moderation is d word

Her reason was that they were unnecessary! And the nurses too didn't say much or try to convince me to allow my son take it.
I also observed some other mother's too that their LOs didn't receive the vaccinne!
Next Wednesday is our 10weeks rounds and I want to give my son the PCV2 and ROTAVIRUS2 should I or shouldn't I?
I googled it and saw that its a combo vaccine that protects a child against a number of diseases and I feel so bad that I didn't allow my son take its first dose. Will it still be effective since we missed the initial dosage?
And does it cost that much everywhere or is my hospitals price inflated? Please help a confused mum out please.

Google about it to know more. talking from personal experience.

mama, pls give your son the Rota and PCV immunization, I didn't give my baby initially, becos we traveled and everybody around me including a matron said I shouldn't, but wen we got back to my base, the doctor that took my baby's delivery insisted that I give my daughter the immunization, he says it prevent diarrhea and other diseases especially this season that diarrhea is flying up and down, my daughter started taking hers at 3months, she will take the last dose b4 she clocks 6months. It is the same price u mention.

@chinwedym, with my first i gave pcv and rotavirus cause they were available but in the others i didn't. My 2nd even has better immunity than the 1st but that's by the way. If the vaccine is available and you have the cash, why not. They will hv to start from pcv1 and rotavirus1 if you decide to give him in your next visit. Greeting to Ekene bobo.
@Eudora, my son's leg tremble esply when half awake and when there's a sudden noise. I hv experienced it wit all my kids and see as normal. If you hadn't asked, i wouldn't hv given it a thought.

3 weeks is a long time for a sandfly bite to linger(doesn't look like it IMO) I'd suggest you take him to a good lab for a swab test so as to know the right medication to use and please do that soon.

it happened to my baby also. Got me worried but I took my mind off it, didn't even know when it stopped but it stopped on its own.

I'm a ftm.. my LO will be 2months by 29th.. he's growing so fast.. he's a bundle of joy.. we are not feeding on EBF cos I don't lactate well..personally hes gradually refusing BM(he pushes the nipple out with his tongue and tries to throw up if forced.. I've tried expressing but he won't just take it even when forced instead he'll shout not even cry). my problem now is he doesn't pass stool for like 3-4 days and when he wants to he will just be crying..and it comes out strong.. I'm worried... I give him enough water.. orange and gripe water(as recommended) but nothin has changed.. any suggestions beautiful and fabulous mothers

@mifavour, are you sure you don't make his formula a bit too concentrated? Keep giving dilute fresh orange juice. When bathing him, you can use his massage towel and drip warm (a bit hot) water on his anus. It stimulates them to pooh. All the best

After dripping d a bit hot water (d type u can bathe with wen very cold) in2 his anus 4 a long time (be patient with dt), den massage his tummy with dsame water. Massage it well o. B4 wearing his diaper, dip ur Q-tip in blueseal Vaseline and insert it in2 his anus..... ... Rotate it in his anus, repeat again and let him be........ The other mamas have given you excellent advice.

You have to watch the scoops of formula powder you put in his bottle. I always go a scoop less (sometimes 2 scoops less) than the recommended amount on the pack.

Give him water first when he's hungry before feeding him with formula. This will ensure he takes a good quantity of water 'on empty stomach' and it will help in ensuring he passes stools often. For example, if he's due for a meal at noon and his usual quality is 50ml, give him 20ml water first and then 30ml formula. If he takes for example 6 bottle a day, apply this method for one or two meal times a day.

Finally, make sure the water you give him to drink is warm. This also helps their digestive system and helps in preventing constipation.

it's not compulsory to use penicillin. I didn't use on my sons. Vaseline sef is enough or olive oil. Then of course good hygiene
