Is It Advisable To Keep Your Ex As A Friend? by Godswillnwaoma(m): 9:40pm On Jan 30, 2016 |
Since we broke up last year october, my ex girlfriend is still contacting me on phone and still visit me atleast once in a week just to know how i was doing. I,m not agaist it at all untill yesterday when my guy i.e my lodge mate saw us together when she visited. So after she left, my guy i ask me what i was still doing with her that he thought we are no more together. I told my guy that we are just friends now and nothing is stil going on between us again. Naa him my guy come say its not advisable to keep one ex as friend that i dont knw her inner motive of her being so close to me again despite the fact that we are no more dating. So i thought about it very well that yesterday and still thinking about it today so that why i decided to bring the issue here on nairaland. So is it advisable to keep once ex as friend or to let him or her go completely. Your comments will be so usefull to me to decide on what to do, so dear moderator i need lots of comments please. |

Do you have a girlfriend now? If yes, then you really need to keep the distance from her in order to avoid any troubles. It's quite clear she's still a bit interested in your life and how you've moved on and that explains her constant visits. I don't really know how you people manage to keep a strong relationship with your exes after a break up though. It's always awkward to me. What are we gonna be talking about? 1 Like |

You can still be casual friends with your ex, if you want to, but the both of you should keep your distance and set boundaries, so your friendship doesn't intrude in your relationship with either of your spouses. |

Godswillnwaoma:Okay that's cool bro. What I think you both should focus on now is moving on with your lives and clearly the way your ex keeps coming to see you constantly,it means she is not ready to move on. If you let this go on,it may cause a bit of a problem when you are ready for a relationship. So keeping a distance is the sure bet. |
