Hello doc, I had miscarriage on d 9 of dec 2015. Although I was told my both tubes were blocked that I can not get pregnant. But without any operation whatsoever I got pregnant and lost it at 8 weeks. My questions are 1. What went wrong, is it because of d blockage? 2. How soon will I conceive 3. Is there anything I need to do to hasten conception. 4. Can I still conceive without the operation Thanks for your time as I await your response |

Hello Doc, I'm 7+weeks pregnant, i want to know the relationship between pregnancy and water intake. I don't drink much water due to nausea, but then I'll start having cramps that won't go away until i drink enough water. Is there any cause for concern? |
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Nobody: 8:06pm On Feb 05, 2016 |
carinmom:about cramps, stop every sugar intake(as possible as you can) like 2weeks before your period, BTW congratulations on your pregnancy May Allah grant you save delivery. 1 Like |

carinmom:i'm neither a doctor nor a medical student, i got that knowledge from experimenting it on three different females including my sister which yielded the expected results, and statistically three samples are enough to draw your conclusion on your hypothesis, Just try it. 1 Like |

angiemartinez: Hello Angie Sorry about the abortion. To your first question..... There's a myriad of pathologies associated with 1st trimester abortion. From things like chromosomal abnormality being the most common, hormonal imbalance to idiopathic(unknown). So don't beat yourself up. No 2. How soon you'll conceive is debateable, in African women we've seen record breaking post partum conceptions. But textbooks/convention would agree from end of puerperium (6wks) to 6months. Anything outside may call for some investigations. No 3. Hasten conception? Its beyond your control. Both gametes, organs, systems + relaxed minds have to be ready. Is your menstrual period now regular? No 4. Its a 50/50 percent deal. Plus, doing a salpingoplasty also comes with its own risks. Discuss with your doctor and let him/her decide what's best. |

Rukkington: Hello rukkington Let us start this way. How long have you been TTC? (+there are different types of pregnacare, for different purposes. If you must, use the pregnacare conception) |

ifefunmi: Hello ifefunmi Firstly, what are your concerns about high blood pressure. Secondly, I recommend non pharmaceutical intervention. Look into your body weight? Lifestyle (sedentary or active), and diet(try lower salt, sugar and fat intake) When it gets to 140/90mmhg. Proud the alarm! |

Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Baxilexi(m): 5:20pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
Rukkington: 5 months does not qualify you for subfertility. I'd be worried if it were up to a year or two. I'd recommend regular sexual intercourse, minimum of thrice a week. Pregnacare conception won't mess-up your menstrual cycle. Just a supplement. Yes, anxiety worsens the situation. (For now, at the expense of sounding like a porn director.) Focus more on the sex and less on the pregnancy. Alright? 1 Like |
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Baxilexi(m): 5:27pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
oomiyale: Hello oomiyale The HSG is necessary. With the test your doctor can determine the patency of your tubes. Especially after an ectopic pregnancy which could have been tubal. Yes, Tube conditions can affect conception. But God was way ahead of you and gave you two. As for the menstrual irregularity, tubal factors are not routinely considered. Never say never right. Go ahead with the test. It's certainly going to add value to your management. |

What is the cause of regular cyst,as in monthly cyst for a woman? |
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Baxilexi(m): 8:10pm On Feb 06, 2016 |
Janix2: Hello janix2 There are different types of cysts(physiologic or functional and pathologic). From your description, I'll narrow down my diagnosis to a chocolate cyst. Otherwise known as an endometrioma. It occurs when endomerial(uterine) tissue is somehow translocated to the ovary. So with each cycle it becomes active just like the 'uterine tissue' and bleeds, forming a blood filled mass called chocolate cyst or endometrioma. Is it pathological(bad)? Not really, you'd live. |

Doctor what causes scrotum itching and what is the solution.l have used dazel kit but worked for a while.the itching is usually at night. |
Re: Doctor In The House:Obstetrics And Gynecology by Baxilexi(m): 2:20pm On Feb 07, 2016 |
Janix2: Hello janix2 Ovulation pain is brief and I wouldn't expect it to last up to 3 days. To the above question. Yes, one can ovulate and get pregnant with chocolate cyst. You have two ovaries, so one might not be affected. Convinced? |
