Referendum will only be held in the areas that wish to leave. It is not a nationwide thing. E.g the Scottish referendum

It all depends what you mean by East. Usually, referendums are held in regions and sometimes, by ethnic group. If the referendum is by region, it will have to be in the SE/SS region. If the referendum is by ethic group, I can't speak for any ethnic outside my fellow Igbos. For Igbos, it would mean all Igbos and Igboids from the Igbo speaking people of Igbanke in Edo state to all Delta-Igbos,the 5 Igbo States,maybe Rivers Igbos and the Igbos of the lower Benue. I believe that if a referendum is held in these places, at least 90% will vote to have their own country. You know why? Referendum is once in a life time thing. There hardly anyone that will throwaway such an opportunity to peacefully gain their own country.
