Imagine giving teachers biscuit to give to students under these learning conditions. This policy is just to score cheap political points. It failed miserably in osun state.
NO!The Government will pay Nasco to supply directly to Schools daily, it won't have to pass through the teachers.

No be him suppose pay them but to me, he's just making jest of both the teachers and the government because obviously, he is not doing anything positive in the house as a senator to help the situation. not even a bill has been raised to backup these his common sense fake campaigns[b].

Illiterate senator talking rubbish and thinking he's making common sense. He just goes about criticising everything just for the sake of criticising.

Primary education and paying schools teachers is strictly the responsibilities of state and local governments. Federal government is only supporting the efforts of the state government with the feeding program by ensuring school children are properly fed before classes. Students will never learn well when they are hungry so, there is nothing bad in federal governments plan.

Paying teachers promptly is good but not the major solution to the problem in the education sector. Most of the primary school teachers in rural states are not even qualified to teach and like the saying goes, 'you can't give what you don't have'. We saw the reactions of teachers in Ekiti and Edo state when the government wanted to administer competency test on them, they revolted and even voted out the Fayemi government in Ekiti and Edo state had to cancel the plan. What we should do now is for states to sieve the list of their teachers, sack the poor ones, invest massively in training the good ones and bring in fresh graduates just like the federal government is proposing with its plan to employ 500,000 teachers.

why give birth to a child you can't feed

Lol @ biscuit illiterates. He is evidently referring to the recent report that the Federal Government signed a memorandum of understanding with NASCO Foods Limited, Jos for commercial production of high nutrient dencity special biscuits for the national school feeding programme.

This is the worst of this man' s common sense nonsense, teachers are already well paid , Obasanjo made sure of that . You need to go to any government school and see how their car park compete with that of bankers . I even thought the man will talk if teacher training. Infrastructure and learning aids. Your common sense nonsense is now just noise from a biased opposition

your tax because u got a job. Do u realize that there are several people out there more qualify than you wishing to pay "my tax" but cant because there job cant even sustain them. The US world number 1 capitalist country feed her students up to high school. Even she pay social security to significant percentahe of her able body men that refuse to work.
Did u understand the post u just quoted? The problem we are having in this country is FG taking upon their self an unnecessary burden the economy cannot bear. In case you don't know, an annual budget vote to just the US defence is about 2 times our entire annual budget more than our current GDP, i.e the aggregate of all economy activities going on in this country.

US' economy is large enough to sustain any socialist programme unlike Nigeria. Again, US can never abandon a critical national priorities to fund an unnecessary socialist programme just like is obtainable in Nigeria. Do u know that, that 500bn will fix over 70% of all federal roads in Nigeria? Do you now that 500bn will upgrade our 37 federal universities to world class? Do u knw that money if invested in border defence will make us have the strongest border in Africa? Do you know that money will fix our power problem forever? Do you know when judiciously invested in the 16 federal teaching hospitals, Nigeria will boast one of the best health sector in Africa and it will eliminate forex flight from this country as a result of health tourism? Do you 500bn can upgrade our prisons to world class correctional centres? US can never sacrifice any of this just to give N10 Nasco biscuits to her pupils.

Not untill u place pple in high position,u wnt know how empty they are.Ben Bruce is so dumb to be a senator.Increase in salaries has neva worked for already rotten nigeria system. It was experimented during Obasanjo's regime when police force salaries were jacked up to about 300% to discourage d regular #20 bribery.Today it has moved to #100 without significant impact. The whole education system of d country needs overhauling and dis new programme is part of d reform programmes besides,it is in APC's campaign promise. And if they didn't do it,dis mofos will still wail.PDP has lost it with dis set of ineptitude opposition faces dey are parading.

The useless, lazy and incompetent twitter constituency senator is obviously the illiterate here.

Imagine a federal official and a senator with zero understanding of of government policies in his own country.

What's his idiotic point exactly, don't help our our own children and their poor parents till we are able to pay teachers their dream salaries? What's one got to do with the other.

If you are going to advocate for better remuneration for teachers, go ahead and do that, but not on the back of school children.

Unfortunately for this crooked and corrupt clown who benefited from the same crooked and corrupt system for 15 years when he cared less about any school children or teachers salary because his silver and gold spoon children were all in sunny California in the USA getting the best education money can buy.

If this issue really means so much to this thoughtless man, he should be on the floor of the senate making his point, presenting and passing bills to help teachers and our school children, but of course, lazy and incompetent cowards like him sits on twitter all day spewing garbage and meaningless illiterate rubbish.

This is what you get when you saddle yourself with mentally warped and unintelligent people..

Empty vessels make the loudest noise. His audience will soon get weary of his rants and probabably start getting irritated too!

This old (clueless) man that is being criticized for wanting to hand out biscuits to school children is taking small steps in the right direction. If you can't see that, then I'm sorry for you. He successfully removed the almighty subsidy and even reduced pump price!

A reasonable person should give cogent criticism and enough with this commom sense(lessness).
