CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

The wedding ceremony took place as slated. Fiona was in a white garment, adorned with utmost splendour. Her beauty raidated like the sun as she walked through the isle to the podium. Bella and Benjamin were undisputably the flower girl and boy respectively. They were gorgeously dressed too.

Bella was exceptionally beautiful on that particular occasion. She was tall, elegant and radiant in her velvety-white flowing gown and pink hand-gloves. Her hair was held in place with colourful bobby pins. Her lips were tinted with pink colours too to match the colour of the bouquet of flowers she had in her hands.

Moses was also in a fitting suit. His black shoes shone like the 'black hole' in the universe. They were italian made, ordered by Frank from an online platform.

Bella and Benjamin held each other's hands as they walked behind the couples and poured flowers on them. Mary and Mark followed suit. They were the bestlady and bestman respectively.

Frank and Fiona were the happiest and newest couple in town. They were driven to the reception hall in a new jeep shipped into the country a week back. Many power bikes accompanied the couples to the venue of the reception.

Blossom attended the reception but was the saddest living being. She sat quietly at a corner and almost wept out her eyes. She wished a terrorist could just run into the reception hall and bombard everyone to death. She left when her wish didn't come to pass.

Many students of MBC were present, including John. But it seemed Jennifer and Michael were missing. Miss Fiona was looking out for them because they had promised her to be present.

Soon, it was time for special numbers. The bridegroom wanted to present a special number which he dedicated for his wife. Everyone cheered Frank up as he walked up to the centre-stage to present his masterpiece. The instrumentalists were set as the choirmaster cum 'the latest bridegroom in town' put the mic close to his lips. The lyrics flowed smoothly like a stream:

When I was born, one bone was left out of me.
When she was born, she has but just one bone.
I never knew, I lived my life as though I was complete.
She never knew, and lived her life the same way too.

But as time goes on, I began to realise...that I'm incomplete without her...
I began to search and pray to my God...for the bone of my bone everyday.

The music was played andante. A loud chant followed and a round of applause too. The voice was highly sonorous, especially when Fiona added her voice to it at the second stanza.

Two other sets of people also presented their songs and then a surprise package emerged--Jennifer and Michael just arrived the scene.

"We have a special number too!" they voiced out.

The couple were happy to see them. They had thought that the teenagers were angry at them initially when they were not present.

Jennifer and Michael began to sing and Bella was surprised at the way they sang. The lyrics was emotional, emphasizing forgiveness. The wordings were so powerful that some people began to shed tears--tears of emotion.

As soon as they finished singing, Bella went straight for them. She wondered how they could sing beautifully well as such, even when they didn't have the gift of music.

"Hey guys!" Bella said. "You really amazed me today."

"Thanks," they said.

"Where did you get that lyrics from?"

"You care to know?" they asked.

"Yeah, cos it's touching."

"John composed it just yesterday," they said.

"Wow!" Bella screamed. "I thought as much! "But how come your voice was that great?" Bella said.

"Desperation, Bella," Jennifer said. "We got a professional voice trainer immediately. He's been working with our voice for the past twenty-four hours. We did an all-nighter planning the song."

"Oh! Great!" Bella said, just then she heard a voice over the sound system accompanied by the musical instruments.

"Oh! My Romeo is upstage already! I'm sorry I have to go."

"Who?" they asked her but she had vanished.

"Here's my Juliet!" Benjamin said over the microphone as Bella stepped onto the red carpet.

"Thank you my Romeo," Bella replied.

Benjamin faced the crowd and said, "The title of our Special number for the occasion today is 'I AM YOUR ROMEO!' It is a true-life-story! Happy listening."

The first and second stanzas were taken by Benjamin while Bella took the third stanza:

1. BENJAMIN: Right from the first day I set my eyes on you. I know you are the one for meeeeeeeeeee....eeeeh eeeeeeeeh.
I will never accept anyone except youuu. I'll shut my eyes against any girl I see, cos..
Chorus:
I am your Romeo and you are my Julieee eee eet
I'm your hero and you are my egreee eet
Let me be your Romeo o and you be my Julie eet
I am your Ronaldo and you are my Margareee eet.
(2x)

2. BENJAMIN: When the rain is falling...and I see you coming eeh...
I know you are coming for me oh, no doubt about it...cos I am your Romeo and you are my Julie eee eee eeet..
I will always go with you, anywhere you wanna be oh oh oh... (Chorus)

3. BELLA: I promise I will never love anyone like I do you.
I promise it is gonna be me an you every time ah.
No one else between us I say, no one else I promise. Cos u're my Romeo and I am your Julie eee eee eee eeet! (chorus)

4. BENJAMIN: When you blink your eyes, I'm always carried away. You are my love, the love of my heart.
I always love to be with you. I wanna be with you. I don't wanna lose you for any seconds. I don't want any man to come and take you from me eeee eeee eh. Cos...(chorus)

5. BENJAMIN & BELLA: So we can go and climb the highest mountain together. And we can go and achieve anything we want in life. When one plus one come together, they achieve so much together than when one of them do another thing. Thank God we are joined in holy wedlock. Frank you're the Romeo and Fiona the Juliet...

Chorus:

Frank you're the Romeo, Fiona you're the Julie ee ee eet
You are the Naruto and Fiona the Jane ee et
Let him be your Romario oo and she'll be your Margareee eeet
Frank you're the Robinho and Fiona's Elizabe eee eeth.
Frank you're the Sammy Oh Oh, Fiona's the Cheriepe-ee-et.
You are the Fernando and she is your lady pet...

FRANK & FIONA joined: I am your only own, Fiona you are my to le-ee-et...I will not leave you alone and you will never regre-ee-eet.
Let me hold you like crow and you hug me like a pet. You are my arrow and I am the shot cricke-et... (till it faded).

The reception hall was turned upside down with great acclamation. It was a scene to behold as Benjamin and Bella were mobbed and showered with encomium. The couple couldn't have wished for a better experience.
