I am thinking about this more cos of personal protection cos if you see how odaran eye tenant just barge into my apartment and stand for middle despite visibly seeing that I had a visitor with me and not minding that. The person actually said she found it scary and he could put his hand round my neck if I was alone and this is coming from a woman who is feared even by local omonile

This remind me of my former landlord,the old man was an ex-army officer,but he drank off all his brain,there was this my co tennant that refused to pay his rent,the guy is a real nollywood actor,if I mention his name am sure a lot of people here will know,but in those days nollywood was only starting,there wasn't so much money on it then.

This actor wife had just delivered a baby,but he was owing one and yr rent,the day the wife was coming from the hospital with the new baby,baba landlord has drank himself to shege,he went to this guy door and shit all over his entrance door and screaming moti mu orukoe si imole,iyawoe atti omoe kole wasin inleyio pelu omoe.

Omo come see laugh.

Men I tire for 9ja tenants.

So I have been thinking lately about how best to handle / manage Naija tenants in a very peaceful way and then I decide to open this thread. I Think this thread can help us to rub mind(s) and discuss ideas that can help prevent /solve tenant issues as well as how to manage our tenants effectively so as not to run into losses. Every property owners should be able to relate to what am saying here

Is there a management style that is currently working for you? We will like to know.

l called them island office but was only able to get to speak with their lettings manager. First impressions I was less than impressed by his response. I do not know if it's because he is a letting instead of management or whether operation varies by area. Call them and find out how they operate.

Just some lessons learned along the way be careful where you site your external taps. Make sure it's well at the back as some tenant use it as an extention of their flat and will brush their teeth, wash plates and food, place their baby bottoms by the tap and wash baby poo bottoms etc right on the floor by the tap.

This is despite having kitchen and 3 toilets.
