Crocheting is a beautiful art. And one unique thing is that it can not be mechanized. That is, there is no crochet machine in existence. Therefore we are unique. But that also poses a problem. If u have a large amount of jobs to be done, it could be tiring because u will use ur hand a lot.
That is one reason I want this association created. I believe, with brilliant people like u guys, it will go places.

People have been involved in crocheting and knitting before independence, but no group. I believe with the renewed interest in Made in Nigeria products, we stand a chance of promoting our creativity. I just received a 3mm hook gift from my Facebook friend and fellow Crocheter from Greece. I am so excited. Now I can start the crocodile stitch patterns and graphghans on my to do list.

Hello crocheters in the house!
I stumbled on crocheting a few months ago, while thinking of something to keep busy while pregnant , crocheted a pair of booties & hat, but d booties ended up not being so equal,(cos i miscounted stiches n thot it wont matter, was wrong)LoooOOL. one wud only notice if looked at really closely. I also started a blanket but dint get half way, cos i had a traumatic loss. Av been so angry didnt want to finish d project or start another, i angrily just kept everything locked away.
But a few days ago i decided to start crocheting afresh again, though I'm not yet pregnant again, but i want to prepare in advance.
I've been inspired by u mummy "honey bunny" tatacherie( i follow u from d other thread) congrats on ur princess.
Ynnk, lovemaths, trublvr, lumiadee, valobit & all not mentioned, u guys are creating very beautiful things. Hope i can be like u wen i grow up ; )

Heres what i made in d last 2 days, made sure i followed d pattern to d T.
