1. Name another missile that can do that

2. Name another helicopter that can do that

You are a man sitting in a mud criticizing another man because his rocket only got him into space and not onto the moon.
You are getting trolled in 6D, grin
You guys made a guided missile with a super helicopter gunship.
Even if you keep missing your targets, it is better than a certain regional power that went into battle and dropped dumb/iron bombs from a 1960 warplane and it did not explode that's if it hit the intended target. You heard me UXO

1.) technicals don't have to be stabilized. As far as it can provide suppressive fire and can pin down the terrorists then it's job us done.

- a mortar too doesn't move when firing it has to stay in one place to
-receive firing instructions
-setup the firing solution
- calibrate the mortar.
- then fire
meanwhile the technicals has been blasting you from 2km away.

Just a sitting ducks for a 14.5mm rapid fire machine gun.

2.) mortar is mortar... it's not guided.... ordinary wind effect will push it off course. 1cm will quickly change to 10Meters and you'll kill your president in Pretoria instead.

3.) It's called adaptation. That's the whole concept of counter terrorist operations. changing your force structure to meet with the current threat scenarios. maybe in world War II using mortar against mobile target is sensible but currently it's just waste of mortar rounds.

4.) the french didn't fight alone. pro-malian army and militia who use technicals did more of the fighting. French just provide mostly air support and special force component.

A combined force of French and Mali
central government troops now on the
offensive, moving toward Gao, the stronghold
of the rebels.

1.) Mali Gun truck
2.) Poland Army Gun truck
3.) Bulgarian Army Gun truck
4.) even south African Army has Samil with 23mm Gun truck

Listen to what a General has to say regarding this:

Really? I care less about what you make of my nationality, cos it wouldn't change the state of things.

our airforce is getting 3 JF17(rumoured), after being linked with almost all the fighters on the market, I'm sorry I don't accept mediocrity, so yes I'm whoever you say I am. cheesy
