They've realized the rate customers have been dumping their trash decoders with all that insane subscription.
The truth is that most Nigerians pay for premium bouquet because of live matches, nothing more & most decoders are turned off most of them time anyway due to power & work! These matches come up just on weekends & few midweek games yet you splash out 14k when minimum wage in same country is just some few thousand more.

It is better for their business if 10 people can afford that 6k than 3 people willing to pay 14k! More so if 100 people can pay 3k for same service than 20 people paying that 6k.

Pay per view still the best way to get back all their customers.

If I have SS3, I don't need any other sports channel. I wish I could trade SS3 for telemundo and all the african magic channels.
