gcof: I didn't understand that guy's post at all. People should know that it takes real hard work and experience for an Igbo man to rise to this level without significant government help. Uba knows the scarcity is artificial, and I believe he knows those behind it and they also know him. So his statement has put some fear in them because they know what he's capable of. PMB should set aside political affiliations and consult this man nicodemusly . He's not even asking for salary. Kini big deal? 3 Likes |

I recall one internet genius was ranting away on another thread about how Uba is a fool and can't affect the dollar. What they teach you at Harvard Business School is different from the business experience of the man in Aba or Onitsha. That's the real world. Not quoting dead people and studying Wall Street Journal. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Chief financial consultant? Nope! A billionaire does not a chief financial consultant make. If it were so maybe Bill Gates, Carlos Slim, Buffet and the rest would head financial parastatals in their various countries. Again, why is he offering his services based on that position? Hmmm, more to this than meets the eye. I see a suave business move in the works. This is not taking the credit away from him if he can achieve what he's being saying he can. He should be applauded for that ( that is if he isn't part of those that created the scenario in the first instance in an effort to actualise what is being discussed in every circle now). 2 Likes |

johnmartus: The stupidity in this post is alarming. It is this type of caveman thinking that has held this country back for so many years. Someone is proposing to help save the economy; someone whose antecedents has been helping Nigeria out of dire straits like this. Even his bold claim seem to have begun to affect the value of the naira in the parallel market and whether or not that is what is actually happening is moot. You haven't even asked the authorities to listen to his proposal and see how practical it is. The best u can come up with is this drivel that can only be likened to what a monkey would pen down. U need serious reorientation. 6 Likes 1 Share |

johnmartus:Do you really think Uba is begging the FG?? I don't think you know who UBA is (ask Forbes) . This is the problem with Nigerians, everyone was crying we are finished and someone has a solution that works and you stone him. Uba doesn't need peanuts from your Federal government his trying to save broke asses like you and you should be thankful. 3 Likes |

MissingBudget: Don't be so quick to disparage what "they teach you at business school". Most of the economic models propounded today originated from these same business schools via intelligent instructors who worked out the theories, conceptualised them and implemented them in the known world. Now, some of these models were product of economic situations in the world that needed fixing. None just happened out of thin air. Practical economic happenings informed learned minds poring over the issue thus birthing most of the economic models you have today and they do work as they are being tinkered with everyday in the.light of extant developments. 4 Likes |

As a business man, a man with street-knowledge...been in business since 15 yrs, he knows what's going on in the street market that those in government and administration don't know. |

How Nigerians are so easily swayed?? Mr. Ubah has not performed any magic and has not been invited by the government of the day to provide any solution so why credit him with Naira recovery. The problem is that most of us are blinded with hatred for this government or exhausted our patience with government that we fail to get the message from the beginning - shun the dollar. I recently entered a PC shop and noticed how scanty the place was, on my enquiry, I was told they couldn't bring in more systems 'at this time' because they'll be too expensive. Our destiny lies in our hands. Stop the dollar craze. I still believe this government is the best thing to happen to Nigeria, especially now. Three years from now everyone will agree. #Pray for Nigeria #buynairatogrownaira 5 Likes |

[quote author=johnmartus post=43196694]the position ubah is asking for is a sensitive one which cannot be materialize he should have know that he cannot reap in where he did not sow imagine ubah magic has started working how? as if the president give him go ahead? must he praise himself when is not even yet allow to do the job? and besides is there is no any other way he could use to see the president in private instead of social media? if he want to play gamble he should seek for another place else.naira is coming back i salute mr president courage kudos to you sir. [/quote/]. See Mumu He is only pleading to bring you out of a pit. In this case, you are like a daibetic patient and Ubah, your Dr. He is only asking to help you manage your fragile health. So if you turn down his offer to help you just because of that hatred you have for his tribe, then i weep at your stup*d*ty and woes. |
