Am on the tall side, but I have issues with d weight, my first was 3.9kg @ birth, gave me natural multiple tears. I don't want to go through all that again, my aim is to have btw 2.5-3.2kg by God's grace. So @ 29wks is 1.8kg too big? So I can watch my diet.

ur baby weight is okay for now. Noting to fear. Dou u might want to start watching ur diet for future sake!. But for now noting to fear.

Start taking folic acid once a day ASAP and also pregnacare once a day and calcium tablets also once a day.

You can also take iron tablets daily.

Then register yourself at the hospital at start antenatal checks.

Good evening pretty mamas. Update on my case. I went for the scan today and everything is fine. No retained products of conception. Except for a tiny cyst which my gynae friend said will likely resolve on its own. Prescribed Cefixime and flagyl antibiotics. I am glad I didn't hurriedly agree to subject my body to the evacuation just because my ex-gynae insisted without even examining me. Thanks to you all here, your encouragement strengthened my resolve . I attached the result. And that miscarriage chapter is finally closed. Back to ttc club now. Kpekusing on point

Thanks feddy22 for your advice. You are right in a way. Zaynie, you nailed it. We can learn from our pain. In my experience, I've seen that there are doctors and there are 'doctors'. Its God that will help us to meet the right ones. Some drs are ready to go the extra mile, some are not patient enough and just want to take advantage. May God help us to always come out victorious no matter what.

I took pregnacare original and it does NOT contain calcium.

I was already taking folic acid before I got married/pregnant and I had a pack with over 100 tablets. So I just continued taking it with the other tabs when I got pregnant as well as eating vegs rich in folic acid such as broccoli (yuck) and the rest.

I forgot to add - I also took vitamin D daily. That was compulsory just like the folic acid because sun no too dey for my end.

It's only if pcv is low dat d doctor wl prescribe iron tablet with pregnacare.Pregnacare has all d vitamins needed already.

I think before you start taking any drugs, you should see a doc first. Everyone's case is not the same. So it wouldn't be wise for us to tell you exactly what to take right now. But the most important drug is folic acid, which you ought to have been taking once daily before you even got pregnant.
But see a doc first with your scan result and then proceed. Its safer that way

@helovesme, i think you should have specified the particular pregnacare you're talking about to her in your reply. As a FTM, she fit go buy Pregnacare Max and still go ahead to take iron and calcium tablets as you recommended

@ngsoundz, I doubt if ranferon 12 is a multivitamin and isn't formulated wt pregnant women in mind. I ll advice u buy ur routine drugs most esp folic acid n iron.

just stick to government hospitals and always be active with your antenatal, that is enough for you.

I agree with mitchy. I use pregnacare max and my Dr does not think I need any oda tabs.
