I saw this on a friend's Facebook wall and the question that kept rolling in "where is the blood associated with giving birth" I would like the doctors in the house to help educate us on that. Her husband was very helpful and at some point their little girl came watching and eventually joined them in the water. Check out the pictures. Will upload more pictures.

No way would i advice anyone to risk it. Especially first time moms...u think it's by photo...the pain u feel is unexplainable...also how many have men who would support water-birth because they are just as terrified as the expecting moms  5 Likes |

Not in Nigeria. Even in the U.S. a lot goes wrong with home water birth (no OB will recommend it for your first child and most condemn the practise, as they feel baby is exposed to unclean water in the lungs in the first few minutes of life and are not sure of its benefits). We don't have trained midwives and it's best to be done in a Birthing Centre attached to a hospital whose neo-natal care is the best and NICU team is on point. I don't believe we have a lot of neo-natal specialists in the country and I'm not sure about our midwives using this technique (they already have theirs). 1 Like |
