What is the theme of Adeniyi write up sef? He complained that Mrs Okigbo paid for a ticket and she was not allowed to enter Doha because Nigerians are not allowed to enter Qatar. ...Now Buhari signed an agreement that will allow Qatar airways to fly from Lagos/portharcourt/Enugu to Doha freely. Meaning Nigerians can now fly into Doha. Yet Adeniyi is complaining. Okay, Adeniyi want Buhari to blacklist Qatar and cut every economic tie with the country abi... I think the so called dumb bubu is actually smarter than some solomon Adeniyi and most of his supporters here

And you my friend as nothing but a lousy mouth "figuratively" . Diplomatic policy was obviously skewed in favour of Qatar long before Buhari came on the scene. The least he can do is bring some amount of parity with the official deals initiated btw the 2 countries now.

While some of you have chosen to blame Buhari for all the woes prevalent in Nigeria not minding the fact he did not create these problems you should at the other end have the coutesy not to rubbish a deal you are uninformed about and desist from raising meaningless uproar at the slightest given opportunity to wail.

I take exception to insults to my person, figurative or otherwise. There will be no need to address what infinitesimal point u believe might be hidden in there somewhere layered over with snide remarks and overt stupidity. You wanna address my opinion, have at it but if u go personal then u cross a line. That I do not appreciate.

Most countries are coming up even with ridiculous measures to stop Nigerians from accessing their countries. It is a known fact that the green passport is fast becoming a contraband.

Who shall rescue Nigeria?

I think Nigeria electorate has been scammed, When you vote a sentimental leader, who dose not understand the meaning of image making in foreign policy. When old people occupy our ministries in other to reward party faithfuls, the country will definitely suffer diplomatic set backs.

Ignorance... yes Nigerians can fly into doha but only on transit to fly to other cities! That does not mean they have been granted visa to enter Qatar!
I have flown to doha before but I did not enter the city, I was on transit to dubai.
Their law still states that if a Nigerian wants to enter Qatar he or she must have a Qatari sponsor!
The question is how come they are allowed to enter Nigeria and make money yet we are not allowed to enter their own country??

The Federal Executive Council, what do they really deliberate on during their meetings? All these seemingly not -in -Nigeria -interest decisions, do they intelligently debate about them (looking at the pros and cons ) before approving them, or they simply attend FEC meetings and humbly swallow instructions and directives from the Oga at the top. I pray that we won't end up having the Supreme Military Council. Not again.
And the beautiful Adeosun who should know better did the signing. Hmm.

OP I think you are mixing two different issues. BASA Agreement and issuance of Visa are 2 different things. Every country has there own policy on issuance of visa to another country, this does not imply discrimination. Try applying for american visa or south african visa and see how difficult it is. Visa policy is completely different from BASA. Nigeria also has their own visa policy too, and it is very stringent for some countries. And while we may not have a national carrier, Arik Air has since been operating unofficially as Nigeria's national carrier. However, there are plans in the works to unveil our official carrier soon.

Mrs okigbo case is regrettable and i believe its something than can be negotiated between the two countries. I think the real problem here was misinformation or lack thereof. Never apply for visa from an airline's website, they might not be able to give specific accurate info since its not only nigerians looking to travel there.
it's really good to comprehend before commenting.
O.p, that Mrs okigbo. Nd Adeniyi just trying to criticise by missinforming Nigerians

So why this long article? Criticising for the sake of criticism.

Because Nigeria has no airline going that route, as national carrier, so the agreement benefits only Qatar in the short run. More so, it's particularly appalling considering the open discrimination against Nigerians by Qatar, as part of an official policy.

Do you understand it now? His criticism was constructive.

Buhari is ruling this country alone, no advisers, no input from anybody. That is why the country is progress the way it is. I and some friends were discussing the other day and finally came to the conclusion that the silence of the minsters is a sign of confusion and incompetence. God save our country

So why this long article? Criticising for the sake of criticism.

I think the question you should be asking is,of what essence is it to sign an aviation deal with a country who discriminate in issuance of visa to your citizen.

The article is quite articulating enough to stress out the parasitic agreement our president has gone into without taking the Nigeria factor into cognizance.
