amanda0: Stanbic is giving PTA at the moment. You need to have applied at least 2 weeks in advance. They will always tell you no cash but you need to be persistent. They are giving based on travel dates, so if you are travelling today or tomorrow, they will attend to you. I'm travelling on Sunday so I was treated like someone travelling tomorrow since they won't be open over the weekend. Ask to speak to either Femi or Kemi. Even if they ask you to go, just wait there. You will get. Best of luck. |

So i am filled with joy. Went for us visa interview at Lagos embassy on the 2nd of feb with my family (hubby and 2kids) and to our disappointment...we were denied under section 214b. Then a friend told me i could re apply alone on medical grounds, so i decided to give it a try. Booked appointment and the earliest date gotten was yesterday, 2nd march.. Before then, i had stumbled on this thread and gathered all the information i could which really helped a big deal. Got interviewed at cubicle 9 and without much hassle... i was granted the visa. Gods favour was with me. Thanks to you all that helped in one way or the other. 13 Likes 1 Share |

IjayMama: This happened before when MIHS increased is prices and everybody flocked to El Paso. This will affect a lot of doctors in Houston (Doctors F, E, etc.) that provide their services at Oakbend. It helps El Paso that the cost of living (accommodation, groceries, transportation) is lowest too. 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 3 by Vlesparza: 1:09am On Mar 04, 2016 |
bepop: Dr. F did not increase his prices, the hospital did, which means all the doctors patients that are having their babies at Oakbend will pay more. He may have given you the price quote from the hospital, but if you did not pay it, he cannot force the hospital to honor the previous price. If you are enrolled (have already paid your hospital package) the old price quote will be honored. Since Oakbend did not accept bank wire transfers before the increase, its probable that the only patients that are included are the ones that had already arrived in Houston and had paid. Best of luck. |

Hello dear, I flew Emirates when I went to avv my son. Pls 36weeks doesn't mean 36weeks on d dot. It's like 35weeks +. Anything from 36weeks u av to submit a medical report/fit to fly 48hrs to ur departure date so they can clear u. Also print the fit to fly form from their website and give to ur doctor to fill. Then also get ur doctor to get u d hospital fit to fly. Attach both together and make photocopies (like 4). Pls make sure d one from d hospital has d hospital stamp because in naija they didn't care about it but in Dubai they held me for few minutes cos of d stamp. I was lucky I didn't submit d original in naija so I showed them d original, they saw d stamp/seal and allowed me to board. Pls do not submit original but photocopies even in dubai too Cheers chikos: 5 Likes |

Ennyo: Do doctors provide services affiliation in more than one hospital? I don't think so o... I think if you are changing hosp, then your doc must change.....I stand to be corrected though |
