Let's just agree to disagree on Miller.

- Holden left Earth pending an unjustified dishonourable discharge from Earth's Navy.
- Julie left Earth and joined the OPA to stick it to Daddy.
- Fred Johnson left earth because of his megalomaniac ambitions

Every Earther has their reasons, none is as clear cut and simple as Amos'

Actually, we don't really know why Fred or Amos really left Earth, since the series hasn't really told us why. Just like how we don't know Naomi's deal, we know she was part of the OPA, but we don't know why she's no longer in the OPA. With Holden, thanks to the UN woman, we know he has "mummy & authoritative issues". We also know he has a rather high moral background & tries to avoid responsibility (when he tried to not take the XO position). But, we've seen that when he does take responsibility, he never lets it go (him trying to get justice for the Canterbury & the survival of its survivors, the Rocinante).

In fact, the only one who we really understand why they did what they did is Julie. Even in the short minutes we got from her, we understand why she didn't stay quiet. What her father is doing is wrong on so many levels. And I've a funny feeling Amos did not grow up with a silver spoon, the fact that it was implied he grew up working as sex worker.

Like I said before, Naomi is my fav character mostly because of her mysterious personae. Her OPA past was inferred but she didn't acknowledge nor deny it. Holden joined the Navy when one of his Moms encouraged him to leave home, then left earth altogether after he got fired from the navy for assaulting a superior officer.Julie has Daddy issues, and let herself got entwined into a cause she barely understood, and paid for her naivety with her life in the end. Amos' past hasn't been revealed as of yet, but that didn't prevent me from reading between the lines.

After all is said & done, the series makes me want to read the books, 'cause it's obvious that elements have been taken out to fit with the 10 episodes.

- Dunbar started as a morally upright politician but eventually capitulated like the rest by seeking a shortcut to victory, she didn't get it BTW, but, her shameful actions may come back to bite her in the bum later in the primaries, seeing as Doug (the guy that snared her) has resumed his duties as Frank's chief head hunter (chief of staff).
- Will Claire decide to go for the Democrats presidential nomination herself?
- How will Frank deal with Dunbar to make sure she doesn't usurp him as the flag bearer for the Democrats? She may hold the cards, but he holds all the aces - the Doug factor.

Nah, I don't think so. Frank may be inherently evil, but he's not stupid. The quickest way to commit a political suicide is by having his ex wacked. You see, Claire knows Frank better than anyone alive, how he thinks, his vices, what makes him tick, as well as his darkest secrets, and vice versa. In fact, those were the strength of their bond over the years, and even separated, none would dare jeopardize any of that by letting their emotions get in the way.

Suffice to say, Frank will never move against Claire, and Claire on her part will never directly threaten his political ambitions.

You should start writing scripts for drama or novels or even little larconic analysis of popular movies in your past-time - something avant-garde. You have the passion which is many times more essential than talent.
