I hardly comment on diz forum coz of d hate speeches which is usually aimed at the northerners about pple who know nufin about north.. At first,, I felt bad about diz comments buh gradually I learnt to ignore and sumtyms even Laff at d hateful comments..
Pple from oda part of nigeria alys stereotype we northerners as illiterates who dunno how to speak ,, talkless of to write in English... I fink dey are jst ignorant..
Anyways,, major problems here in d north include illiteracy, poverty and d failure to implement family planng and also "kwaruption" (in baba'a voice)..
I lyk d igbos coz obviously dey are hustlers and d Yorubas coz dey seem very respectful,, atleast d ones I've cum across so far...

People from other regions lack orientation on North and Northeners. our problem in North is
lack of Leadership but our population is a plus.

the problem with the north is LEADERSHIP

I'm igbo, before now,i never wanted to have anything to do with northerners because of what I used to hear about them growing up in lagos. But since I came to sokoto! chai!! It has changed my mind about you people though I still have some things I must say,.. but let me first of all appreciate your honesty and hardwork to succeed despite the harsh environment. though I'm still afraid of stepping on your religion ". The northern leaders know what to do to enrol those children into school, if they can force women,to wear hijab, I have not tasted oompah since I came here, meaning that it's not allowed and the compliance is almost 100percent, why won't they use same tactics to enrol almajjiris into school..but I think they don't want to do that so that a particular people will continue to rule. I don't like giving money to beggars, but I swear each time I see those children, all the small unit currency on my pocket will just finish. I feel for them so much. I must also confess, that you're good in business just like igbos,just that the igbos create chains of businesses expand more while you do not. the money spent on roundabout or some things that are not really necessary, should be channelled into education! look you guys have alot of lands for agriculture, you should also have food processing plants too..that will generate a lot jobs too..
Another thing is I noticed how good the educated ones are. Our Igbo are too many there too... smh despite the weather Odiegwu!!
I wish I can learn hausa overnight... I would have made more friends, right now I have friends from Benue koogi and sokoto already..
