I need advice pls!
I graduated with cgpa of 3.40 and almost rounding up a master's programme. My intention is just to get to canada. How best can I achieve this? I don't care going for another masters or PhD.

Can I use my masters to apply for another masters, maybe that ll make my admission easier since my first degree is not too good?

Also are there schools I can apply to that doesn't need TOEFL and GRE??
*Am a newbie and all I want is to get to canada*

mun is very fast when it comes to admission processing ones you dont choose to delay yourself
i got my application not more than 5weeks after my application
This are what can make it fast
1. Try to send your transcript through currier, i recommend fedex (i used fedex i it took just 3days
2. Make friends with their staff by calling them directly not by email although they are also kind in replying email. i call their assistant register almost every day until She turned me into her family and handle my application personally
3. let them know how urgent and passionate you need their admission it will make them unlook some mistake and give you uncommon attentions
The assistant register has already reviewed my transcript even befor it get delivered by the Currier, as i gave it to Currier i aslso sent it to her email. Also they some mistakes in date of birth but she overlook it

4. Tell them you want the admission letter to be DHL they are still responsible for the Currier few, if you dont tell them they will relax and use regular mail service

here is some contact that will help you

Assistant register; Meghan collett +17098644425 (mcollett@mun.ca)

international application assistant; Jennifer William +17098643184

best of luck

Bro, thanks for the headsup.
The challenge i have is that my official toefl score is yet to get to MUN and march 1st was the deadline for application, although i mailed a staff in my department and she told me that if it arrives in the next few days, they would still go ahead to act on it. But i'm scared cos i dont know the exact date toefl will deliver it. Thanks .

Weldon my fellow brothers and sisters. please i need your candid advice.
I'v studied at NIIT(National Institute of Information
Technology), Ibadan study center. I
have completed a two years course of study
leading to the award of
PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY / DNIIT (Network
Engineering) The program is mapped to
ADVANCED WINDOWS SERVER
ADMINISTRATOR. Having been completed the
program and i have good grades in my WAEC
result. normally, middlesex university in Mauritius,UK and Dubai are offering NIIT a year top up to get BSc in Business Information System(BIS). But my point is i wish to do that cause i don't want to come back to Nigeria to start looking for job opportunities as it is not easy to get. I have applied to George Brown diploma on 28th January and they sent me Student ID but they are yet to give me offer of admission and that's making everything stagnant for me now. please gurus in the house, what should I do, which one do u think is the best? God bless u all.

Nice to see an NIIT Alumni.

Guess you stopped at Q8 to get the DNIIT.

1. What School and course are you going for?
2. When did you apply?
3. When did you finish program at NIIT?

***Appreciate***

MUN requires TOEFL, it's just that there are other options like "language of Instruction letter" from previous university

Hi everyone, my name is wonuola. I came accross this thread on Google and I must commend y'all. I got married august last year and finally my husband got a study visa to trebas institute toronto after he was denied twice. He left Nigeria September. I applied for an open work permit/visitationvisa on Dec 11, went for biometrics Dec 15. I prayed and fasted, hoping to God that I will get the visa, but I got a refusal mail some mins ago. We actually used a lawyer because he helped my husband get his visa. I am so devastated @ the moment, coz I waited for two months and spent so much money using the lawyers. Please I need the gurus in the house to advice me, I beg you guys. I was denied based on travel history, family ties in Canada and in country of residence, length of proposed stay and financial status. My dad wrote a letter that he was going to sponsor me and I used his statement of account. He had over 7million in his account. I really don't know if that affected the visa because am married. I really don't know what went wrong. 1)Can I apply for visitation first, then work permit later?? 2)Also do I have to wait for 30 days to apply again?? Please gurus I will be waiting for ur response, God bless y'all

Hi there,
I understand how you feel cos my wife is currently going through the same thing. I could tell you a ton of things that possibly went wrong but just to rule out doubts as these files are processed on a case-by-case basis, I strongly recommend you apply for your case file before you do anything further. Since your husband is already in Canada, he can apply for it. I am more than happy to share ideas/experience with you guys.
Goodluck!

Patience to read is the problem you have I suppose. I didn't say he/she should notarise all docs ... I specifically said "notarise your sponsorship letter" so read before making comments okay .

Hi everyone

I am new here, but I do need your help. I applied for a student visa from the Canadian Embassy but to my greatest shock yesterday my Visa was declined because the Visa officer claims that 'i have not satisfied him that i will leave Canada at the end of my programme' According to him he considers.'family ties in canda and country of residence'and purpose of visit .. (despite adding my receipt of payment to the school I applied for and all other required document.)as a reseaon for the declinment.

Now I have the grace to appeal, but this time around I want to get it right bcause I have paid all my school fees(millions of naira)pls help me out. What can I do

Attached with this is the letter I received from the Embassy. Thanks
