Edoboy1: When you are talking about electricity supply,Ibadan is among the states with very bad electrity. Let me tell some reasons behind this trend: 1:Most landlords or landladies in Ibadan prefare to use wooden electric poles for power source instead of the concrete ones. Any rainfall in ibadan comes with a lot of fallen poles, resulting in epileptic power supply. 2: the ibadan indigenes are very relaxed people, if nepa like they don't bring the light for two years, you won't see any youth or landlords going to nepa to complain. 3: nepa officials take forever to respond to emergency. The only area in ibadan with good electricity is Oluyole and Okeado. But I personally can't live in Okeado, its too populated and too dirty. Oluyole is nice and also expensive. The people need to be more concerned and use the right materials in directing their power source.

it worst in felele area of ibadan for the past 2months they beat Nepal official last wk in the area and they enjoy light for 8hrs daily from Monday through Thursday. but since Friday it reduce to 3hrs per day or nothing sometime

2mch: The guy in charge of the ibadan power should be made minister. He is the one that should take credit for managing resources effectively. Not any minister or GEJ. Others are not seeing light for 2hrs.

because they gave light which others suppose enjoy for few area only

Ona-ara is a local government in ibadan, and its been more than 2 years now that we've had electricity.
The people who are boasting of 20hrs ,24hrs light are staying in a part of IB and that is even likely to be an exaggeration cos I do go to those Areas, either is true or not isn't my concern.
Its just wierd to me that a Governor can neglect a whole local government in the state capital for close to 3 YEARS now without electricity. So unfair

linkin8k:

Don't be stupid please. Do you think improvement will happen at the very same moment. Typical Nigerian mentality, always complaining.

Ohhh, you got a 'Western Mentality' now? Keep re-cycling the same old shit....Power will be stable by 20....?
Improvement my black a$$, this is 2013 and power ain't better than it was few years back. Damn what is wrong with us in this country, how hard is it to call a spade a spade and stop glorifying some miniature exaggerated 'improvement'. We should be be wayyyy passed this right now....a younger friend traveled to Togo and mentioned about the uninterrupted power supply for the whole two weeks she has been there and still counting! God help us all.
