Fanen Adi and Chikatara are ahead of Isaac Success what they have produced with their clubs. Chikatara's goals qualified his club for NPL while, Fanen (Fanendo) Adi's goals propelled his Club to Win MLS so who is Isaac Success. Or you think to score 19 goals in the MLS is not a feat to attract national team call up?

You mean what they produced in MLS and NPL? grin You must be joking sir. grin

No am not Sir.........

You look down on these leagues right? That was someone like Sunday Mba could save us the AFCON shame when we had people from the so called glamorous leagues in the world on the pitch.

Continue looking down on those leagues. It's not always about the league or even club, but what capabilities a player has that makes him stand out. I will always choose these two players ahead of Isaac Success looking at what they have produced so far bro.

Siasia blasts Euro clubs over black coaches

Siasia

by Samm Audu

Nigeria caretaker coach Samson Siasia has said there are only a handful of black coaches working in Europe because the clubs there do not believe in them.

Siasia has been reappointed Nigeria coach in an interim capacity in the wake of the shock resignation of Sunday Oliseh recently.

He first coached Nigeria Super Eagles in 2010, before he was fired the following year after he failed to qualify the country to the 2012 AFCON in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Before getting his coaching badges in the United States of America and Europe, he played for French club Nantes as well as Lokeren in Belgium.

He also featured at the 1994 World Cup in the USA when Nigeria made a long-awaited debut.

Siasia has now said European clubs are guilty of not giving black coaches a chance.

“I want to believe that the reasons there are not many black coaches working in Europe are because the European clubs hardly give us a chance and they do not believe in us,” said the coach, who himself was severally linked with jobs abroad.

“Many of us have not only played at the highest level in Europe, but have excelled, but even when we get our coaching badges there, these clubs still don’t give us the break we need to show what we can do outside the pitch.

“We have many ex-African players with French nationality, but I can only recall (Claude) Makalele who was at Bastia and that was it.

“Where is John Barnes with all he achieved at Liverpool and even though he grew up in England and played for that country? He was not given much of a chance there as a coach.

“Where is another black coach, Chris Houghton? Where is he now?

“Many of us have good records as players and then coaches, but because the European clubs do not believe in us, we end up having to do something else.

“And even where they give us a chance, they are quick to dispense with us.

“Something is really not right, but I don’t want to put any name to it.”

Siasia 4 – 0 North African Teams: History Books Sound Warning To Egypt

The Super Eagles will welcome Egypt on Friday, March 25, in a crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Kaduna.

Though Super Eagles interim coach Siasia will be meeting, for the first time, the senior national team of any North African country, he has not lost to any North African team at youth level.

In the past, Siasia had only led Nigeria's youth teams to play against the youth sides of North African nations. With Nigerian youth teams, Siasia has played against North African teams six times. He won four, and the other two ended in draw.

‎In this piece, Completesportsnigeria.com's JAMES AGBEREBI, makes a detailed note of how Siasia has fared in previous encounters against North Africans.

NIGERIA 5 – 3pen MOROCCO: (S/FINALS, 2005 CAF U-20 AFCON)
After navigating through the qualifiers, Samson Siasia qualified the Flying Eagles for the CAF U-20 Cup of Nations in Benin Republic.

The team had a flawless group stage performance, winning all three matches with ease. But it was in the semi-final against the young Atlas Lions of Morocco that things got a little trickier.

Both teams were deadlocked at 2-2 after 120 minutes of football, and needed the lottery of penalties to decide who goes through into the final.

And in the penalty shootout, Siasia's Flying Eagles side converted all five of their kicks to win 5-3 and progress into the ‎final.

NIGERIA 2 – 0 EGYPT (FINAL, 2005 CAF U-20 AFCON)
The Flying Eagles met another north African country, Egypt, in the final of the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

And at the end of 90 minutes, a brace from skipper Promise Isaac, gave the Flying Eagles a 2-0 win. It was the Eagles fifth title and also the first time they were winning it since 1989.

And it was Siasia's first ever title for Nigeria after being appointed a national team coach.

NIGERIA 3 – 0 MOROCCO (S/FINALS, 2005 U-20 W/CUP)
Coach Siasia's Flying Eagles crossed path with Morocco again, this time in the semi-final of the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup in the Netherlands and once again emerged victorious.

Unlike in the Africa U-20 semi-final clash in Benin Republic, the Eagles made light work of the Moroccans, winning 3-0.

Goals from Taye Taiwo, the late Adefemi Olubayo and Chinedu Obasi, secured the convincing win for the Flying Eagles.

NIGERIA 2 – 2 EGYPT (GROUP STAGE, 2015 U-23 AFCON)
Siasia took over as head coach of the U-23 Eagles and qualified them for the second edition of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal.

After managing to see off Mali 3-2 in their first group game, the U-23 Eagles met Egypt in their second group game but could only manage a 2-2 draw.

Oghenekaro Etebo put the U-23 Eagles two goals up from the penalty spot. But the Egyptians clawed their way back into the game, levelling up in the second half.

NIGERIA 0 – 0 ALGERIA (GROUP STAGE, 2015 U-23 AFCON)
Siasia's side came across another North African foes, this time Algeria in their final group B match of the 2015 U-23 AFCON.

Both teams needed to avoid defeat and hope already an already eliminated Mali beat Egypt in the group's other game which was going on simultaneously.

And at the end of the game which ended goalless, both Nigeria and Algeria progressed into the semi-final.

NIGERIA 2 – 1 ALGERIA (FINAL, 2015 U-23 AFCON)
Following their surprised 1-0 win against hosts Senegal in the semi-final, Coach Siasia's U-23 Eagles and Algeria met in the final of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations in Senegal.

It was the second time coach Siasia will be meeting a North African side in a major final after beating Egypt 2-0 at the U-20 Cup of Nations in 2005.

And once again, his side was victorious, winning 2-1, thanks to a brace from Oghenekaro Etebo who also emerged the tournament's highest goal scorer with five goals.

Ideye: Why I Turned Down Big Money Offer From China

Nigerian striker Brown Ideye has revealed that he turned down a big money move to China in order to succeed with Olympiakos.

Ideye joined the Greek giants from English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion last summer.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, who recently helped Olympiakos clinch their 43rd league title, told BBC Sport he had set targets which he hopes to achieve with Olympiakos.

"It was unbelievable money for the club and financially tempting for any footballer, but I chose to stay here.

"My family love it here, and clearly, happiness comes before money."

Ideye continued: "From where I come from (Nigeria), it's easy to hear people say go to China for the money but I'm happy here.

"Honestly, I don't have (a genuine reason to) leave Olympiakos. I have been shown love and this is the place to be right now.

"My ambitions are the same as Olympiakos' because I came to a club with a strong habit of winning titles and playing regularly in the Champions League.

"I have individual goals and team goals; with the family atmosphere and strong fighting spirit within the club, I believe we can achieve great things together.

"I want to continue winning trophies here and make a big contribution to the history of this great club."

Siasia: Ighalo Will Score Goals Against Egypt

By Richard Jideaka, Abuja

Interim head coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia is confident that striker Odion Ighalo who has been experiencing goal drought since the turn of the year, will score the goals that will sink the Pharaohs of Egypt when they clash in their two-legged 2017 AFCON qualifiers in Kaduna and Alexandria, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.‎

Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com in Abuja, Siasia said that Ighalo who has yet to add to the 14 goals he scored in the first half of the English Premier League, would score plenty goals for the Super Eagles against Egypt.‎

"I have been talking with Ighalo and I am confident he would score goals for me against Egypt. I am not worried that he has yet to score this year for his English premier league side Watford FC.

Nigerians should be calm because Ighalo will score goals against Egypt in Nigeria and in Alexandria for the second leg," Siasia told Completesportsnigeria.com.‎

Siasia stated that Ighalo will rediscover his goals scoring boot for Eagles and Watford, adding that Egypt cannot stop Nigeria from scoring goals and going to AFCON in Gabon next year.

Siasia would also express his delight at the response of the home- based players to training, stressing that they are gearing up for shirt battle with the foreign based players.

Siasia reiterated that if the home boys play better and show more hunger in training, he would feature them against the Pharaohs. He admitted that his only fear about the overseas- based players is whether they will be able to adapt to the hot weather of Kaduna.

The former Super Eagles striker who is heading the coaching crew of both the senior national team and the Under-23 national side said handling the two jobs is not a distraction but a blessing as it would allow the home boys who fail to make the Super Eagles cut to join the Brazil bound U-23 team for friendly games this month

Rangers Want Super Eagles Stars For Match Against Abia Warriors

By Sab Osuji:
Enugu Rangers say they will approach Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to seek for release of their players in the various national teams to prosecute this weekend's match day-6 of the NPFL, officials have informed
Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We've seven players in both the Super Eagles and U-23 national teams and they are all first team players," an official of the Coal City Flying Antelopes, Foster Chime told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We've a crucial league match on Sunday against Abia Warriors and it will not be possible for us to honour the game with a depleted side.

"So we want to write to NFF to release the players to us so that immediately after the game, they will board the next available flight from the closest airport back to camp."

He told Completesportsnigeria.com that their demand is not out of tune with the relevant rules of the league.

"You're aware that part of the guidelines stipulates that teams with about five or more players in the national teams can ask for a release of such players for games.

"There is also the provision that if such players cannot be released for their clubs, the clubs can approach the league body for a postponement of their games," Chime further told
Completesportsnigeria.com.

"We've just held a meeting in the office. We'll approach LMC for a shift in date for the match if the players will not be released."

Rangers have three players in the Super Eagles camp preparing for the AFCON qualifier against Egypt, namely; Orji Kalu, Emmanuel Daniel and Etim Matthew. The Coal City Flying Antelopes have two players in the U-23 Dream Team V1 camp preparing for the friendly match against Brazil; Obinna Nwobodo and Godwin Aguda.

Yusuf Backs Home-Based players To Fight For Eagles Shirts

By Izuchukwu Okosi:
Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf has hinted that the home-based Super Eagles players could get starting shirts in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt this month, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The former Kano Pillars coach spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com
from the Eagles' camp in Abuja on Wednesday as the home-based players started camping for the crucial games.

"The home-based players know the matches against Egypt are crucial and we commend their dedication.

"They have been professional. Apart from the three players who were decamped and are now in the U-23 team; Usman Mohammed, Stanley Dimgba and Segun Oduduwa, the rest came to camp on time.

"Most of the players here were in the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) team and not reaching the latter stages of the competition in Rwanda is one motivation the boys need to do well against Egypt. They will surely challenge the players from Europe for starting places.

On the state of fitness in camp, Yusuf confirmed that only Enugu Rangers right back, Orji Kalu, is the player with an injury setback.

"The players are okay. Actually only Orji Kalu picked up a knock in his club's league game against Wikki Tourists over the weekend.
We don't expect him to be out of training for too long though.
Aside him, the others are in good health," the coach told Completesportsnigeria.com.

The Pharaohs are expected in Nigeria on March 22, three days before the first leg of the qualifiers.

By Johnny Edward:
Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun is wary of the humid weather in Kaduna when they confront the Pharoahs of Egypt in an African Nations Cup qualifier later this month, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

But the FSV Mainz versatile player was quick to add that he and is teammates will give everything to win the game billed for the Ahmadu Bello stadium on the 25th of March.

"The weather will be challenging in Kaduna, but I'm ready to adapt and give a good game," Balogun stated via thenff.comyoutube channel.

"I'm expecting two interesting games against. Egypt. We have to fight, run for our lives and also be disciplined tactically," he added.

While admitting beating Egypt will be tough over two legs, the Eagles star believes interim coach Samson Siasia has a plan in place to outwit his Egyptian counterpart Hector Cuper in the games.

"It's tough to say we will get six points against Egypt, but I'm confident it's possible."

I saw no reason Why Balogun was left out in the first place. After-all players like Alex Iwobi and Victor Moses didn't grow up playing football in Nigeria and they are in the team.
By not inviting Balogun for the Egypt clash would he also not have invited him for the World Cup qualifiers? If the weather was truly an issue this is even the best time to invite him so he can quickly acclimatize with the weather before the more important World Cup qualifiers kick-off.

Imagine initially selecting Chibuzor Okonkwo ahead of Leon Balogun.

I think it has to do with considering Balogun for the Right back role. Maybe Coach Siasia feels he is not fast enough for his approach. I doubt Balogun will make the Central defensive pair. I doubt he will make the right back position.

I am waiting to see.

I did not say better. Leon Balogun's experience and exposure to tough opponents as for me males him a better player.

I am talking with respect to tactics. If Okonkwo is faster than Balogun, Coach Siasia might decide to use him based on his pace.

Look at yesterday's game, Baba Rahman is a better defender than Kennedy but Hiddink picked Kennedy because Kennedy is faster and more skillful on the ball.

I do not think it has to do with weather.

Siasia seeks to reform midfield for Egypt
by Andrew Randa

Super Eagles

Supersport.com continues with our series on the players invited by Samson Siasia for the back-to-back 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

This time, our man Andrew Randa, takes a dip into the midfielders invited for the game.

MIDFIELDERS

Ifeanyi Matthew (Kano Pillars); Usman Mohammed (FC Taraba); Etebo Oghenekaro (Warri Wolves); Ogenyi Onazi (SS Lazio, Italy); John Mikel Obi (Chelsea FC, England); Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City, England); Azubuike Okechukwu (Yeni Matalyspor, Turkey)

It's apparent that Siasia wants to inject new blood into Nigeria’s midfield, however, the timing is a bit off and it is left to see how he can conjure up some midfield magic to stop the Egyptians when the two sides clash on March 25 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

The big news coming out of the midfield situation is that Stanley Dimgba, who just moved to Sunshine Stars and midfield powerhouse Usman Mohammed will miss the game after ‘Siaone’ banished them to the under-23 side for failing to report to camp on time.

John Mikel Obi [above] is the main man here, not just in the midfield but in the team as a whole.

He is the most experienced player in the squad following the retirement of Vincent Enyeama and will be torch bearer on game day.

He failed to make the starting 11 against Swaziland in a World Cup qualifier recently, a bold move by Sunday Oliseh who elected to play Paul Onobi instead.

The former Lyn Oslo midfielder has been a mainstay in Chelsea’s midfield since the departure of Jose Mourinho and seems to be enjoying his football again.

Surely, the Eagles benefit from that.

Yau Hassan’s inclusion is a strange one. The burly player, listed as a midfielder, has played predominantly as an attacker at Kano Pillars and Wikki Tourists.

He has strength and a physical presence but he hasn’t exactly set the local scene alight.

Ogenyi Onazi will miss the game in Kaduna which means Nigerians might get to see Ifeanyi Matthew [below] strut his stuff again.

The Kano Pillars man is arguably the most improved Nigerian player in the local scene in the last one year.

He was phenomenal in midfield as Nigeria won the Africa Under-20 championship in Senegal last year and replicated the same with the under-23s as they captured the African crown.

Matthew was one of the few bright lights for Nigeria in an otherwise dour Chan tournament and has now gotten his day in the sun with an invitation to the senior squad.

Former Fifa under-17 MVP Kelechi Iheanacho is listed as a midfielder even though he plays as a centre-forward for his English side, Manchester City.

Siasia might just be toying with the idea of playing ‘Nacho’ [below] as an offensive midfielder or just behind the front two depending on what formation he puts out against Egypt on March 25.

Azubuike Okechukwu’s inclusion in the squad is a testament to his rising stock as one of the Nigeria’s emerging top guns.

Though playing in the Turkish second division, his talent and leadership qualities are undeniable as Siasia handed him the leadership of the under-23 team, which he led to the African title.

It’s apparent Siasia is a firm believer in youth and keeping with his philosophy of having a member of the under-23 side in the current set up, Azubuike takes his place in midfield alongside the hero of Nigeria’s under-23 Nations Cup triumph, Oghenekaro Etebo. .[below]

PASSED OVER

You’ve got to think Raheem Lawal, John Ogu, Sone Aluko and Hope Akpan should be in with a shout.

Ogu has been in fine form this season chalking up regular minutes and providing assists for the strikers at his Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva, while Akpan has added goal-scoring to his repertoire at Blackburn Rovers

Sone Aluko and Raheem Lawal have also done well this season to deserve a look-in by Siasia.

But he obviously knows something we don't.
http://www.supersport.com/football/super-eagles/news/160309/Siasia_seeks_to_reform_midfield_for_Egypt

What do you expect from a local coach if not..... lipsrsealed

How on earth can a coach ignore players in Super lig for a player in lig 1 in Turkey? So, Is Siasia telling us that lig 1 is better than Super lig? Azubuike Okechukwu over John Chibuke and Raheem Lawal? Is dis not ridiculous and embarrassing?

John Chibuke had played 22 games this season, scored 6 goals and spent 1677 minutes on the field of play while Raheem Lawal had played 18 matches, scored 1 goal and had sent 1351 on the field of play. So, how did Siasia overlooked them for a younger and in experience player. i just... *deep breath* .

I dey come.

Have you considered that Coach Siasia has little time to work with the players. As of now, the players are in camp working with the coach and understanding his philosophy. Some of them already know his style of play and what he expects of them.

Your European list will not be in camp until after the weekend. This is a crucial tie with little time to prepare.

How do you want him to prepare for the game, calling all your foreign players?

If that is what your European Coach will do, then he knows nothing about the job.

Yeah, but Siasia cited weather as reason for not initially inviting him.

Why-Siasia-left-out-Leon-Balogun-Ideye-Success-Official

Eagles caretaker coach Samson Siasia 42-man squad list for a double-header against Egypt reflected the current form of Nigeria players, but the likes of Leon Balogun, Brown Ideye and Isaac Success were some worthy omissions with reasons too.

A top member of the NFF technical committee, who pleaded anonymity, spoke specially on these players who should have been there, but are not there.

Here are the reasons Siasia proffered for omitting these players when he defended his list before the committee.

LEON BALOGUN (DEFENDER/MAINZ, GERMANY)

Form guide: Leon is arguably, Nigeria’s most in-form defender in Europe. He has been largely used at right back in the national team, but has been deployed at the heart of Mainz defence in the Bundesliga this season.

He has made 18 appearances for Mainz in all competitions, the last being the 2-1 defeat of Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

His partnership with Stefan Bell in Mainz central defense has been largely the reason the team is in the hunt for a Champions League play-off spot.

Why he is not on the list: Our source said: “We raised this with Siasia but his reason is cogent - You don’t invite players for the fun of it. We agree that he is having a good season but this is Africa and not Europe. You can see how hot the weather is in Abuja. So imagine how it will be in Kaduna when we play Egypt.

“Leon could struggle in those situations. You remember, we had similar problems with Reuben Agboola back in the days.

“This is a crucial match where circumstances beyond the game proper could be decisive, so we need players who will be comfortable within our environment.

“Leon is still part of the team and will be invited for future games, but we had to leave him out for this one.”

ISAAC SUCCESS (STRIKER/GRANADA, SPAIN)

Form guide: Success has been an ever-present in the Granada starting 11 this season. He has played 28 times in all competitions for Granada this season scoring five goals with three assists.

He was on target in Granada’s 2-0 defeat of Sporting Gijon in Spanish La Liga this week.

Naturally a striker, he has been deployed more from the left flank this season.

Why he is not on the list: Our source further explained: “Success was equally mentioned, but the main snag is his goal conversion rate.

“His work rate is commendable but for a striker, he needs to score more goals. Against Egypt, we will need more potent strikers in front of goal. We will need strikers who will take the opportunities when they come.

“He is quite a young chap who will be very useful to the national team in future but such a crucial game might not actually be the right time to blood him. Remember he is yet to make his full international debut.

“In future, it will be interesting to see how he links up with the likes of Ighalo in the attack”.

BROWN IDEYE (STRIKER/OLYMPIACOS, GREECE)

Form guide: Brown played 28 matches in all competitions for Greek champions Olympiacos this season (20 in Greek Super League, 6 in UEFA Champions League and 2 in Europa League).

The last of these performances was against Anderlecht in the Europa league on February 25. On the whole, Olympiacos’s number 99 scored eight goals with one assist.

The move to Olympiacos saw a rejuvenation of his career after the lull at West Bromwich Albion.

Why he is not on the list: Our source; “The idea of having Ideye serve as a foil for Ighalo is appetising. We all know what Troy Deneey does for Ighalo at Watford. He will need such a player in the national team.

“But while you have to note that Brown also has a low goal conversion rate, his usefulness in a 4-4-2 situation cannot be ignored.

“But we have players like Victor Moses returning to the national team.

“Brown should return soon but not for this game. We cannot invite all the players at the same time”.

DELE AJIBOYE (GOALKEEPER/WARRI WOLVES)

Form guide: Dele’s form at Warri Wolves has caught the attention of NPFL observers. Not a few believe he is the most in-form keeper in the domestic scene.

He has started and finished all Wolves four games this season and kept three clean sheets. He was the stand-out keeper at the Super 4 and has kept a below-par Wolves side afloat this season.

Why he is not on the list: Our source; “We invited two foreign-based keepers, Carl Ikeme and Dan Akpeyi. The three home-based keepers who should open the camp are national team ‘keepers at different levels.

“Ajiboye’s form has been noted but you know that the goalkeeping career is a bit more exclusive than the out-field players, the choices are limited.

“I have no doubt that Dele will get his chance after the Egypt games. We have also noted his good form.”

We all know that any coach coming to coach the Super Eagles is/are expected to work with arrays of talented foreign players ready to learn fast and adapt to any coach philosophy or style of play. We saw with Chelsea fc this season and the rest they say is history. So, if a coach says some players playing in the top league can't adapt to his philosophy or style of play then we know he is not ready to coach the Super Eagles. Maybe that is the local coaches mentality.

So, Iheanacho, Iwobi, Onazi, Simon, Moses, Omerue, Oboabano, Chikatara, Fenando Adi, Aaron Samuel, Aminu Umar, Stanley Amuzie, Abdullahi-shehu etc know Siasia's style of play and philosophy? grin As you can see, these are lot of new bunch of players ignorant of Siasia's philosophy

Siasia even invited a player from portugal second division to the national team over some players and the irony of the whole issue is that the player in question played only 3 matches and saw 43 minutes of football this whole season. Gees! Does this player already knew the philosophy and the style of Siasia?

Gbam! Nothing to add. All I see from the pro-Siasia camp are mere excuses and assumptions. Siasia has his boys. Datsall!

Did you see the above? Did I say all of them?

You can not compare Hiddink's scenario at Chelsea with what Coach Siasia is facing. I mean, do you think they are the same scenario.

Hiddink works everyday with the Chelsea players. So it is easy to get them to play to his philosophy. Coach Siasia has a few days. They are totally different scenario.

I repeat, Coach Siasia is already in camp with his players. Will he be in camp with his players if he selected an all European list like you want?

When you talk of players he selected, you are not in his mind. If Coach Siasia keeps tab on a player and he trust in the player, it is not wrong to invite him. He is there for his ideas.

Most of you praised Coach Oliseh's analysis and selection policies, yet, it did not work as expected.

Look to the beginning of this thread, you will see I am not pro Siasia as such. I am saying, this scenario is not wrong.

He invites who he wants and sets up his team the way we like. There is no guarantee who excels or flops.

Thanks for the link. I do not know how I missed that one but the quote echos my point. There is no time for risk. If Coach Siasia feels the conditions of Kaduna will affect Balogun, we should not force Coach Siasia to test him in the conditions where there is no time.

Others in the list like Adi is to take a close look at them. Some not playing regularly might be those Coach Siasia feels can contribute some way or the other and wants to work with them.

This is like employing an expert in a field to do a job an we are hounding him with our ideas. He is the expert, let him work.

hi house i don't think there's any controversy as such in sia1's list. IMHO he has called a mixture of players he trust plus old reliables and ones in form. for me when a team list is dodgy is when most players that should have been included are missing. for siasia this list for me is 85% ok the only thing that raised eyebrows is leon balogun's exclusion and that has been rectified. no list can please everybody anyway.

Na so! But pro-Siasia camp want me to believe that he called them because they know his philosophy when we already know that most of the players have never played under Siasia prior to this invitation. What else do say if not to concur with assertion 'Siasia has his boys.Datsall!'

This takes us back to the question: WHY KADUNA?

Oliseh wanted Port-Harcourt but that created a rift between him and the NFF board.
Port-Harcourt is a cooler city and most of our foreign based players can easily adjust.

The Egyptians are coming with 80% locally based players. Egypt is within the hot Arid region. I hope taking them to a hot city like Kaduna would not bring out the best in them.

You remember why we could not qualify for the 2006 world Cup? Nig 1-1 Angola; venue: Sani Abacha stadium Kano. The players after the game complained of immense hot and humid weather.
Most of the Angolan players were locally based. There is a current called "the benguela current" that blows along the coast of Angola. It is a cool current that is responsible for the Aridity(dry weather) being experienced in the most part of Angola. The NFA took the game to Kano that has arid weather conditions. Most of our players played in Europe under a different weather condition. Most of the Angolan players played in Angola that predominantly experiences that arid weather condition. And you know the result as the rest is history.
Nigeria finished on 20pts same with Angola. We even had a superior goals difference bt head to head counted against us. We lost 1-0 in Luanda and then that silly 1-1 draw in Kano.

I DON'T LIKE THE CHOICE OF KADUNA AS THE VENUE FOR THAT GAME.
