Lol Igbos say their 'Biafra' includes the south south. When it comes to IPOB leadership, Na South easterners full everywhere. Yet they take offense when people from Rivers state are wondering aloud why IPOB is deceiving people that the South south is part of Biafra. Na wa 10 Likes 1 Share |

I am a proud Nigerian who still believes in the Nigerian dream. I am an expert in international diplomacy and conflict management. The agitation for the secession of Biafra from Nigeria to me might not be a good option for the Igbos or the so called Biafrans. There are a lot of things that need to be put into consideration before thinking of secession. May be you can learn from South Sudan, the youngest country in the world. Since her independence, South Sudan has never known peace. They thought independence will bring them peace and prosperity but reverse is the case. Lets imagine, a situation where onitcha people are the one getting the most appointments in the new country of Biafra...How do you think the Abians or other group within the Igbo feel like? In short, how do you solve the class, caste and the status system in Igbo land to ensure that no group is marginalized. Conflict is an inevitable part of existence but the ability to manage is the bringer of prosperity and development. If the Igbos cannot manage their differences with fellow Nigerians, how do you think they can manage differences within themselves? This is the same thing that happened to South Sudan. Peace!!! 4 Likes 1 Share |

See IPOB and hypocrisy. Why were names of people from Ijaw, Urhobo, calabar, Akwaibom etc not included in the list of credible individuals chosen to negotiate on their behalf or are those areas no longer part of Biafra as they claim. This is why I said that Igbo will subject the south south to slavery should Biafra be actualised. All they want is their natural resources. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

1United1: Have you been to imo state before to know that rochas is the best performing governor you guys make it difficult for imolites by posting rubbish on the media while the IMO citizens are crying , secondly whether Ipob or not Igbo's will support those who they perceive supports their interest and they used to call rochas their Messiah until they saw his rescue mission was a fraud with substandard projects the Igbo's can't trust him again which entirely his fault . Lastly IPOB is not terrorist organisation but a secessionist group take advantage of nairaland and improve your knowledge. |

proflawi1: I guess when slovakia was keen on separating from Czech, arguments like urs surfaced from the murky depths of nationalism. South Sudan is the exception, agent provocateur. Will u say, dear friend, that democracy is not viable option for governments because there is a country known as Zimbabwe or Bulgaria? Since independence , Montenegro has applied for E.U. membership , joined the World Trade Organization, and rehabilitated its long -exiled monarchy . Generally , it' s economic record since independence has been viewed positively . To add more salt, Quebec region is vying seriously for ndepence drom Canada.....will Quebec dissolve into South Sudan ..Even South Ossetias war didnt last three months when they broke off Georgia. Do you know of Barcelona, their eyes are still on splitting the knot. if Biafra could gain independence, and then a civil war breaks out amongst its citizens, then its their responsibility, its their lesson to learn , and its theirs to know how deep crimson the colour of their blood is....not other peoples, esp peoples they dont hav much in common. 5 Likes 1 Share |

proflawi1: interesting write up these are the kind of people I respect and hope to interact with nairaland. Please what do you think should be the solution since northerners and yorubas have vowed to continue reminding the IBO's of their place in history and as consequence blocked every pathway of them ruling Nigeria and the IBO's have also lost faith and hope in being part of this country as an influential tribe. |

Anyaoku Sir, why have you remained 'unqualified' to be president of Nigeria since all your experiences as Common Wealth Secretary General? You said you have not been contacted by IPOB for any appointment, so why go on the web to denounce an appointment you have not been contacted for? Is Anyaoku not being unreasonable : as ever? Anyaoku finished serving as a Commonwealth Secretary General ages ago, as a very young man, he could have since been president of Nigeria. But because Nigeria is an "Animal Farm like in George Orwell 's book, Anyaoku has wasted with all his experiences and contacts acquired as Secretary General of the Commonwealth. 1United1: Your major problem is your belief that any country could be created to remain indivisible. As the oil well owners and oil dollar billionaires have taught you all these years that Nigeria is indivisible. IPOB a a group made up by millions of people from the east of Nigeria who don't want to share same country anymore with most unreasonable peoples on earth found in this part of West Africa. 1 Like |
