This is the best post I have ever seen here. And am glad, I will love to set up one of this inverter for my house. But please you guys should help me answer these questions. 1) I have 4 energy saver bulbs 2) 1 LED polystar TV, 1 startime decoder 3) 2 ceiling Fans 4) my laptop and 2 mobile phones. I have a 1000watts inverter, and planning of buying a 100ah battery, please since I have that inverter must I buy the blue gate UPS? Plus and for how many hours will my fearly used 100ah battery will last. Thanks and God bless you guys |

iamawara: Welcome boss, best decision u'll ever make; on ur question it'll on depend on a number of factors ranging from how good ur battery will be to the level of charge and of course the most important being the load u'll putting on the setup. As for the UPS u don't need it since it serves the same purpose as the inverter. But depending on your type of inverter u could either skip the smart charger if it comes with an inbuilt charger, or get a smart charger if it doesn't . |

anochuks08:No go carry 1 million watts fridge and load on that inverter with 200ah battery and then u say na me tell u say e go work, Lol I can't use my fridge or freezer for this setup or for a higher inverter setup, if u fancy chilled drinks or food , I think its best u look for a plan B very low watts fridge for it 1 Like |

Thanks so much for the reply. I know of the battery. It OK, the only doubt is the 2 ceiling Fans, do they consume much charge pls? I don't know the number of wt they work on. But as stated the appliances I just listed, with a very good 100ah battery will it last me for like 10 hrs after a successful battery charger? |

Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by saint2ace(m): 5:08pm On Mar 18, 2016 |
iamawara: Each of the ceiling fans has a power wattage of 45 watts each making 90watts, the TV will be like 100watts and the bulbs, decoder, laptop and phones will consume a total wattage of almost 100watts. That total load on a 100ah battery will definitely not take u more than 5hours; that's if it takes u that far. My opinion sha. 1 Like |

ceejay80s:I understand boss. I am looking at Power Jack 5000w inverter with up to 1000ah batteries (either 5 200ah or 10 100ah) For Solar Installation, am thinking of just buying cells and building the solar panels myself |

saint2ace:You can build your own solar panel. You just have to get the required kits. You will need 1. Solar Cells ( some sellers on eBay offer up to 40 solar cells (6×3)for less than $20 and this 40 can give up to 70w of power) 2. Tabbing Wire (To connect the solar cells together) 3. Flux pen (acts like glue to help you hold on the tabbing wires to the solar cells while you solder) 4. Bus wire (connecting the ends of the solar cells after connecting all together) 5. Lead 6. Soldering iron. |

Since am not building any now so as to show pictures and videos. You can get the items above off eBay n amazon and hit youtube for videos of it. It's not rocket science and anyone good with knowledge of electronics like oga ceejay can do it. Just don't break the cells |

9ijaprince: Sorry I was busy then. It shows green when the batteries are fully charged. If left for a few days and the charger is reconnected, the light will turn red for a few minutes then turn green again. In my case I had to charge the batteries while the UPS was disconnected from the batteries for it to work properly. When fully charged I reconnect the wires to use it. The problem was from the UPS. Sadly, I don't use it any more, my setup got burnt from an electrical surge. Also burnt my two generators close to it. |

ceejay80s: GOD bless you too my brother, the guy spoke highly of you; said the charger biz started moving well after he met U. After testing the charger I only have one reservation, the LCD indicator only showed 10.9amp at fast charge when the charger is supposed to be a 20amp charger. I was thinking it would show 20amp. For those using the digital versions pls does ur indicator show the total amp capacity of ur charger Looking forward to ur responses. |

saint2ace:I told him that u were the one that bought the brand new inverter battery for me, he shouted and said why I no tell am on time ,make he greet u very well. Its ur turn to teach us about the 24v smart charger, U guys with 24v ups or 1.2kva ups are u ready ? |
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by saint2ace(m): 7:04pm On Mar 19, 2016 |
ceejay80s: Lol ceejay80s abeg I no fit laff na real "greet me well " oh well nothing spoil, the charger can do both 12v and 24v so u can choose what u want; but like I told him, he could have ordered higher amp capacity chargers doing 24v that way he'll broaden the market. He said he would try, but his problem was that the last batch of 24v chargers didn't sell at all. So we're hoping that with the level of sales now, he'll improve on his wares. |

saint2ace: The level of charging current you see is dependent on the SOC ( State Of Charge) of the battery. The more depleted the battery is the HIGHER the charging current will be. To achieve the maximum charge, you have to totally drain the battery ( that is use it till it goes off), then try charging back and see if it will hit the maximum rated charging current which is 20A for your set up.
