mercylicious: I think JIJO approach is what causes impatience sometimes. One has to know when to switch JIJO for dividend or cap appr. I also predicted Tiger well but I jumped in too early immediately the Dang take over was announced and jumped out. I should have waited until he actually paid. 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 3:37pm On Mar 21, 2016 |
NuttyChoky: I ques it depends on your entry price. For me it has to reach 14.0 b4 my cap appr will equal my dividend. So I am still better off holding. |

Raider76: I entered at N11.90k...so my capital appreciation is less than div but I do not trust this bear market so will sit out investing (except defensive stocks like AFRIPRUD) until the macroeconomic environment and policies are clearer. Imagine if the MPC meeting comes out with foolish pronouncements? |

NuttyChoky: There is a saying that you should "...trade what is happening, and not what you think is going to happen". I don't think government policies are going to be any clearer than they are now. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Aks:fidelity should give good dividend, but the reason i dont trade it is cos of d share outstanding that is heavy.it takes time to move( from observation). This is my first time trading fidelity, so i cannot CATEGORICALLY say how it will move. another stock that has heavy share outstanding is transcorp. if e enta offer eeeeh, na God go save u b4 u come out. i am just an amateur oooo. mkt has a mind of its own. Its only the OGA's that know the direction they want the price to move. Nb- u are d mgr of your own portfolio. |

ExLaidback: You just want to tell us to go and buy. Hmmmm with the tendency that "besides UCAP will not hold 10% daily- some people actually entered 1.6 some weeks back" if it does not get that so called 10% which is very unlikely. I bet all my trading life! Then you are saying settle for 15% dividend pay and wait for the next months for cap appreciation. 1 Like |

Coolcash1: Evening sir, am a student too and i have a question. Though i have not started trading, just some sort of 'practice trading' before i conclude my registration. Do you think buying FCMB at current price of 0.77 for long term purpose is a good move? 1 Like |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by manie(m): 6:08pm On Mar 21, 2016 |
Tritri: How did you get the N30 to N50 million? I will advice you to keep on doing what you did, that you were able to save N30 to N50 million. For someone like me if I have N50 million, N25 million will go into the stock market, N15 million will go into real estate, N5 million will be in the bank and money market instrument while N5 million will be ploughed backed into my business. 2 Likes 1 Share |

oluwadanie1: PhD? Student pass student o For me, FCMB is a good BUY for long term. This is my personal opinion. The stock is currently battered for the expected poor 2015 result. The poor result isn't necessary a death sentence. Impairments or making provisions for doubtful loans is an accounting/regulatory requirement. If, the bank is able to recover its doubtful loans in the current year, it will reflect in the results as writebacks. Even if the bank eventually has to writeoff the loans as completely lost and provided it doesn't represent a substantial percentage of its capital, the new year is ground-zero start off point. The bank might eventually need to raise capital if the losses extend into subsequent quarters in 2016. I urge you to do further research on this stock and others on the NSE. |
