Good evening fruitful Mama's, I just came back from the hospital as advised by #chom4shizzle & #Fvine.. Chom4shizzle advised me yesterday to go for Hormonal Assay so I went this evening. I posted recently on the pelvic scan I did and also discovered I had intramural fibroid with a calcified one. Fear of surgery (I had 6 different surgeries already) made me to start searching for alternatives and a friend gave me a RCCG midwife's num that helped her expelled her's.
My previous gynae said the fibroid is not a problem and that I can conceive even without removing it. Today I met a different gynae and after scanning me in his office, he said I can conceive but it will cause a miscarriage since its 5.8cm as of this evening. He took his time to answer all my questions including my fears.
He has given me 2 options, either to go for general anaesthesia that will make me sleep throughout the surgery or regional anaesthesia that will numb the area while I am wide awake or conscious.
Please has anyone here had regional anaesthesia for open myomectomy? How does it feel and can you share your experience?
All I need now is your prayers, for God to open financial doors for my hubby and also for successful surgery.
Please what should I ask him to check in my womb during the surgery?

I had general anaesthesia so I can't fully answer your question from experience. But I there are Mamas here who had the regional/localized anaesthesia and they told me they felt nothing as they were numb from waist down. During their surgery, they were gisting with the Dr/Nurses and they tried to keep them distracted and occupied while the surgeries were down. 3 of these Mamas are @ Redeemed , @ Sugah and @ mummytwins2 Am sure once they're online,they'll still share with you directly.

But instead of just folding your arms why not try out natural remedies to help shrink or at least keep the Fibroids at bay? You never know God might just work his wonders. Just take with faith and commit to God. I think calcified Fibroids can sometimes be softened by taking calcium. Take care.

@fvine God will bless sooner than u think. U are indeed a blessing. Aside from being obese I have no symptoms of pcos. I always thot fibroid came with heavy flow and painful period. But then the last time I was preggies I just did a clean 9 weight loss programme and on vit e. I think I have my work cut out for me.

If that be the case then, I think you already have your answers and just need to get to work. A loss of as little as 5kg can make a difference, and once you lose a little, you'll be motivated to lose more. Just get to work, motivate yourself by looking at the end goal, if not for your health, to get pregnant and have a healthy child. Take care. You can do this.

thank you over and over . I will try to get it...you have such a kind heart! how long have you been TTC? (if you don't mind). I have been TTC for just roughly 7months and I'm so tensed about it. I guess I'm not strong . my husband loves kids a whole lot. he gathers them in the house and plays with them, I love kids a lot too but not as much as he does. I watched him cuddle a colleague's baby over the weekend and had to excuse myself to go cry (I felt better after doing that) lol. yesterday I had to just drive down town to count the number of pregnant women I'd see and thank God for them. Its all I think about and I'm in the 2ww which will end in about 5 days or so. I don't feel pregnant except for my breasts that are sore more than usual. My mom doesn't want to hear I'm worried already and DH isn't happy when he notices I worry over it too. I bottle up and I just needed to let it all out.I know I shouldn't be worried, but I am.
All I want is the strength to keep me going and waiting. I pray a lot and for y'all too..I do whatever involves using foods to boost our chance. and I trust God that He'll do it. Oh sister,i quite understand your worry but just be stable emotionally because stress can result to delay on your part.Have you gone for necessary test i mean you and your husband?If yes whichever the result just work on the solutions and please calm down abit,7month is still early to worry.I will be 4years old in marriage by Nov but no show yet,if you could read my previous post you will see my testimony although some doubted it but i just thank God that there's light at the end of the tunnel for me and others TTC.

I know the trauma I went through when the doctor told us that my dh sperm count and motility was too low that we should go for iui which I quickly bought the idea but dh refused. so my dear very soon u will testify your bfp. as you asked before bfp means big fat positive ------- positive pregnancy test.

If Pcos is your major/only issue, please face vitex.
I used to have extremely long cycles too. I guess I ovulate late but can't say if I ovulate strong eggs.

I started vitex on cd42of one cycle and saw af on Cd45.
Then continued till Cd49 that I got my bfp.

I noticed ewcm on cd 30 n continued d bd was honestly I was waiting for af as I was taking vitex to regulate my cycle.

I wanted to give up until Fvine said something about late ovulation.
So I just continued.
Because of my weight I started taking 2 for breakfast and 1 for dinner.
That's 3 daily.
Even with my bfp and taking one daily so my progesterone don't drop to zero. - God forbid.

So I will advise u don't give up.
However I don't know what u r up against and if there are male issues.
Just saying my experience with vitex.

Oh that's a positive news,i will suggest you also make sure you are good to go too,eat well monitor your ovulation.If your fertility is well structured it can aid his own to give a Bfp.We shall all smile soon
