And to know that many illiterates voted for the goat to come back and not pay them salaries surely speaks volume of the nigerian black race... We are a doomed people..we suffer and smile and go to sleep instead of all of us to be on the streets telling our foolish goat head leaders what we deserve as citizens. I expect civil servants to shut down That state and protest until that buffoon starts doing his job as a governor... This is a state that partakes of the 13 percent derivative... Tufiaaa.... ...

If any state in Nigeria deserves to be termed "paradise on earth", it should be Bayelsa with the meager population and huge allocations. Unfortunately, a few influential politicians have perfected the act of manipulation of their people such that they've become zombies I'm their own state.

I am also sure by the time Wike completes his term, Rivers state will become a ghost of its former self.

You cant rily blame Dickson, most govt workers are ghost workers. If they were genuine workers whose input and output are felt, they would down tools and they effect will be felt almost immediately.

And what is NLC doing in that state? Can't you people go on strike? I just don't understand why Bayelsa with small population like my state Ebonyi, huge federal allocation and huge IGR but still, compete with Ebonyi in terms of infrastructural development.. Maybe Bayelsa needs to try APGA ... God knows that of my Governor, Umahi, collects huge allocation like Bayelsa, Ebonyi will be like paradise in the next 3 years..

And this is a state that benefits from 13% derivation? I was shocked to learn that potable water supply is such a great problem in Bayelsa that some residents get water from the same source that they pass feaces in.

After spending one year in Otuasega, ogbia in 2011, and touring communities like angiama, azuzuama, opuama etc in southern Ijaw, and spending a few weeks at ekeremor, as a youth corp member then, I feel deeply sorry for the people of Bayelsa state. I wish they can have back the days of Alamco, the only politician who carried the people along. Forget party, timinipere sylva was terrible, very terrible, dickson is no better. Bayelsa state is the smallest state in SS, one would have expected massive development and prompt payment of salaries of workers and pensioners BUT....? Izonowei, what is the fate of that airport close to ODI?

Bayelsa is more than four times the size of Anambra and about 40% of the population of Anambra state and gets far more than Anambra state in revenue......Ben Bruce the common sense senator should go and talk sense into his home state, Bayelsa!
