Nigerians will also complain even when decisions are taken in their favour. In the bid to alleviate the suffering of the people, the government return subsidy payment for independent marketers and that is what people like you see as confusion Ok, it's not confusion, it is CONFUSIONING 1 Like |

this new subsidy payment wont have any effect. because the pump price has increased way beyong what subsidy of 5 naira can cure. whereas all these trouble started when this govt removed subsidy to spite the hitherto policy and prove that it was a scam. deregulate the sector, pass the PIB, thats the final solution 2 Likes |

There is an error here. If the currnt price per litre is 92.34 let the pump price be maintained at that. What they are doing now will create a lot of room for independent marketers to make money on the susidy. A govt that made us to be paying NGN50 as stamp duty when we do banking transaction cannot come to claim to be paying our petrol consumption bill 2 Likes |

fistonati:it obvious the present crops of leaders especially in the oil and gas sector are from planet Mars. they think with their asses and not their brains. so what is happening right now a product of misplaced priority and lack of sincerity on the part of the buhari administration. nigerians are in chains but for how long will be determined by unfolding events after the passed budget must have been signed and implementation fully commenced. 1 Like |

People are confused about this subsidy removal and reintroduction. Subsidy was removed because landing cost was fell bellow N86 but now the landing cost has gone above N86, that explains reintroduction. Its previous removal had nothing to do with economic policy. Buhari government doesn't appear like one that will remove subsidy permanently. So ,wailing wailers should stop confusing themselves. 1 Like 1 Share |

So with all this flippity floppity, you can see why it's hard to believe that those at the helm of this country actually know what they are doing. I mean, a random coin toss would likely achieve exactly the same results. And much cheaper too if we replaced the CBN governor with a coin. I'd go further and suspend all arms of government for just six months. President, his cabinet, all representatives, senators and all their hangers on: six months without pay. The money we'd save might be enough to rescue the economy. Smh 2 Likes |

amaechi1: You organized a road show in Ojota in January 2012 against subsidy removal, you criticized retention of subsidy and campaigned heavily with it. Now you are eating up your own vomit. This is not about Nigerians suffering being alleviated, this is about clueless promises don't did not make sense that Nigerians bought into, hence the knashing of teeth. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

eagleeye2:The CABAL always win in Nigeria. When there is a policy that will cripple their hands from eating excessively, they frustrate such Government. I think the FG bowed to external pressure by returning the subsidy. Shame!!! It looks like its in the best interest of Nigeria, but the CABAL still win. 1 Like |

My question is how the government will finance the 'subsidy'. I cannot remember seeing any allocation for payment of subsidy in the 2016 appropriation bill so where is the money coming from? Perhaps they are using the returned loot? 2 Likes |

Firefire: Isn't it obvious that the cabal won't let petrol price be stable unless you pay them . NNPC owes the cabal unpaid subsidy and because of that they refused to bring in more petrol . In the first quater allocation NNPC got about 70% but the marketers that have the remaining 30% refused importing hence the shortfall and fuel scarcity . The marketers blackmailed kachikwu to increase their allocation and now that they have gotten more than 50% of the allocation the scarcity of petrol will disappear in no time . Once kachikwu suceeds in fixing the refineries and build a reserve we won't be seeing this kind of scarcity again. The Cabals have to be neutralized if we are to enjoy petrol in this country and I believe in this government to do that . 1 Like |
