I'm from anambra, I've got the "r and l" ish even though it doesn't happen all the time.
Ara is central igbo and it means madness
However it's just anambrarians and some parts of imo and Enugu that call it "ala". The rest call it "ara". My point is, it's not a general thing. Let's not derail the thread sha
oga ..am a linguist...I collect dat from a lot of individuals....so if a good number of igbo indigenes concur...its done..of course nt everyone will say it like dat...if 60 percent say it...no. Ish..we aint derailing d thread ,we are adding knowledge to it

But the issue of r and l is just mistakes limited to a group of Igbos , not even generalized

Dialectical in Igbo.
Mistake in English. These things happen in other languages in Nigeria , even of its not r and l.
Some call education, educason. Things like that

No justification for calling education educason.

It's a borrowed language not yours.

Educason for education is more of mother tongue interference than dialect.
