"Man" in that context refers to "humankind". Well, of course you'd know that. You just want to colour the meaning to suit your sentiment.

Why should I consider those women?

If other men cheat on their longsuffering wives, how does that rob me of the right to be hurt or even indignant should my wife cheat? Should I knowingly torment myself because of a lofty notion?

Many of those "noble" women remain in such homes because of finance. Some others would consider the pleas of family members and remain in that marriage so that they won't be tagged stubborn. Some just don't want their children to grow up with separated parents. I believe they all have their various practical reasons for staying but love (for the husband) is not one of them.

Believe me, it will take a strong woman not to give in to save her child.

I hope the word "divorce " is still in ur dictionary? Many women are readily opting for it just in case you've not noticed, and as for financial support, helloooooo! don't u have eyes to see that most women are standing their own grounds without their husband's support? I've personally seen lots of marriages where the wife is the breadwinner of her home and no one knows about it unless u are extremely close to the family to notice the difference, my dear it's only d undying love she has for her husband that can make her stay, millions of kids are being raised in a broken home, don't forget that, so i see no tangible reason whatsoever for her to be obliged to remain with a cheating husband.
