I will examine the circumstances surrounding her cheating on me, to know if it was actually my fault and to know if she was emotionally compelled into doing it...but if it was an outright deliberate offense or something she does regularly but was caught that day, there will be divorce and not forgiveness (Even the bible says infidelity is the only ground for divorce so I think I wont be doing the wrong thing). Mayb after the divorce I will forgive her.

There is room for divorce as long as infidelity is concerned. If my wife can cheat on me, she can kill me o. I will forgive o but she will go home.

If for whatever reason my wife had a fling with another man and asks me for forgiveness, I would forgive without looking beyond the reason she gives, if there is any. If the reason she gives has to do with my failings, I work on myself to correct it.

After all, I wouldn't say I have not done same and go asking for forgiveness.

well personally I've never seen a woman who stays in marriage just because of ordinary love. There's always a tangible reason she isn't leaving and even at that most women confess they cheat low key to at least even the game and not feel like losers.

From experience,it is very difficult to forgive.I have a cheating wife,I caught her not quite four weeks ago.For me that is the end of the marriage,but because of family pressure,we are still living together.We've been married for 7 years,we are blessed with 2 lovely boys,and of course,I enjoyed it while it lasted.the most painful part of it is that I trusted her so much so that I never suspected her of cheating.Now,I've started seeing someone else(something I haven't done in 7 years),and she knows it.My intention is to frustrate her out of my home.

Weird,most of the comments says "i cant forgive,the memory lingers and keeps haunting" seems we all forgot the major culprit in this scenario is we men,its only in rare occasions you see a woman bring home another mans child, even if she will you will never get to know until things goes south,but on the other hand a man cheats,even brings his mistress home,delivers the child and either keep her as a second wife or take full responsibility for the child,and tells his wife it was a mistake,asking for forgiveness,subjecting his legit wife to a constant reminder of what led to the developments,why is it a one way thingy?it should be in for a penny in for a pound,cheating should be frowned at no matter what,women shouldn't be made to forgive a cheating spouse when a man wont ever forgive his cheating wife,guess its the way we were made though,i for one wont forgive a cheating wife cuz i wont ever cheat on her,the day i do is the day the relationship starts crumbling,cuz of guilt and a constant reminder of what happens if she does thesame, ofcourse only if your conscience ain't seared already.

Men often see their wives as what they are protecting, providing for, satisfying, etc. (whether this is rightly or wrongly done is another question). So, for any other man to have access to his wife will be a clair robing of his ego by his wife and the cheating partner.
