op, I guess u'r d one asleep....let me wake u with dis. To tell u I remember very well dis times u'r talking about, it was after d presidential election and it was due to the fact that Marketers sort to ask for their subsidy that have not been payed for the fear that ur oga @d top nw would not listen to them, tanx to d like of Ifeanyi Uba that come to our rescue. As a mata of fact, the PMS held by a marketer was enough to serve naija for a week......so what's ur story for d scarcity today or can u give me any instance during GEJ that we had dis hardship apart from the one posted?

@ op, be sincere it was not this bad under Jonathan, mind you the shortage of fuel towards the end of Jonathan's tenure was a grand manipulations from the detractors of his government just to whip up sentiments from the already angry electorates who are hell bent to get him out. Jonathan's government had the singular honour of stopping our seasonal December 24th-28th shortage of fuel we witnessed for 6 years under Obj's eight years.... This is the noble truth.
God bless you o. May 29, 2015, PMB was almost the President. Did that situation last two weeks? Many Nigerians now live in fuel stations. Did we experience that.

This is true and a remembrance, but we want lasting solution to the scarcity. This is APC, a change party they tag themselves. Just new to the system.
They have to show us there capability, by never experiencing re-occuring fuel shortages like the last administration and many other previous administration.
a government that has been in power for only 1 year with its first budget only just approved common give me a break

One of the major problems wrong with Nigerians is that we forget easily. This is the reason why hardened criminals and looters in the past can easily come back and contest for public office to the extent of winning. It is so sad that some people, mostly youths who are the leaders of tomorrow are going about with the slogan "#BringBackOurCorruption". They say they want the last administration presided by Good luck Ebele Jonathan back in power cos they can't stand the current fuel scarcity amidst other challenges that I believe the Nation will breeze through in due time.

This brainwashed blind bats who love to view things ethnically are quick to forget that the fuel scarcity experienced towards the end of the last administration's tenure was really unbearable compared to what we are currently facing now. Then, major sectors were shutting down, from telecommunications to the media, from aviation to banking. Nigerians were literally cut off from the rest of the world during that period. A period in which getting a bus to the bank to withdraw money was difficult cos buses had no fuel. When you manage to get to the bank, you are told you arrived late cos they close early due to shortage of diesel. Was the power sector any different?

Take a look at the pictures of fuel scarcity events that took place in the last administration below and tell me that Nigerians didn't make a good choice in voting them out.

op I tot u had something to say until I started seeing blatant errors in ur poorly thought-out position paper.
1. the fuel outage towards d end of Jonathan's administration lasted barely 2weeks. In d case of buhari, For virtually 11 months Nigerians have been entangled in d web of government-made scarcity. It is on record dat GEJ handed over a Nigeria dat was fuel-scarcity free.
2. scarcity of PMS at d twilight of Jonathan's regime was artificial. Independent marketers refused to sell fuel but it was available.
In contrast, Vanguard newspaper dated 1/04/2016 quoted Dr.Kachikwu as saying that due to the inability of NNPC to provide Nigerians with sufficient PMS, it will allow independent marketers import 60% of the refined product.
Subsidy scam/blackmail was the main reason we had fuel scarcity at the twilight of Jonathan's regime. In the case of buhari, even when the fuel was available was it selling at govt regulated price? the answer is NO!
3. Go and read this and stop messing your self up: www.theheraldng.com/my-fellow-nigerians-how-goodluck-jonathan-predicted-current-fuel-scarcity-in-2012-why-nigerians-did-not-listen/
4. the buhari administration is contemplating to increase pump price while subsidy still remains. My question is, increase it to what?
conclusion>> the APC-led federal govt should settle down to work & solve challenges rather dan fight itself (saraki vs presidency) at d peril of Nigerians & trade blames. Trading blames after 11 months is not a sign of responsibility!
Kemi Adeosun is no where to be found! Why! is she dead? Is she alive? Buhari's policies are counter-productive! He should review dem!!!

Fuel scarcity was never experienced during GEJ's regime till he was almost out and that was caused by APC-induced petrol marketers. After, Ifeanyi Ubah bailed Nigeria out because he was not happy about the injustice caused by the infamous APC.

Guy ur head correct no be small.
Plus the scarcity witnessed then was caused by pmb' s insistence that when he takes over power he wud not pay marketers outstanding debts.

There was fuel scarcity then, but you should have searched for the reason behind it, for the analysis to be properly done. There were a lot of unguarded statements about the fuel subsidy By PMB while waiting to take over the government. The marketers felt that he would not pay them their subsidy hence the hoarding of fuel reigned. At the peak of the scarcity, when there was reasonable assurance, Capital oil announced the release of 70m litres of pms into the economy and others followed suit. Now you know that Buhari and APC have been the reason behind fuel scarcity in the recent time. This of course has left Nigerian economy worse than they met it, but they will give account of Nigeria some time soon.

I swear that I feel like you stole this from me..

I remember having to remind someone about that particular fuel scarcity. I remember driving two drums of fuel from Benin to Lagos during that scarcity. In fact I remember how my guy sold an entire tanker of fuel into drums for black marketers at 350 a liter in under 4 days..

Nigerians and their short attention span are so quick to forget. Atleast the max fuel has hit under this scarcity is 185 - 200 Naira per liter. That scarcity hit 500 Naira per liter in even Lagos state.

I have tried to tell people to be patient and wait to judge this administration. They have not started too well I must admit but in truth nothing we are experiencing now is either new or was not anticipated.

I maintain that this administration should look into the ministry of Information as a key ministry as they should be letting Nigerians know the truth about what's happening in the polity and the moves they are making to fix these issues. Basically, they should carry all Nigerians along and make Nigerians feel like they are a part of the administration.

I still have faith in this Government to come through in the end. I hate to believe that this government would blow this golden opportunity they have at the helm.

In the 16 years of PDP in power, the party proved itself to be clueless and in capable of solving any of our national problems including availability of petroleum. Voting the party out of power was a right decision. APC has 4 years to convince Nigerians who brought it to power that they didn't make a mistake. In 2019, APC will be voted out if it's performance record is unimpressive. By that time Nigerians must have seen the need to vote for their "well being" and forget the usual way of voting on basis of tribal, religion and sentiment. We shall keep changing until ONE change produces a visionary and dedicated leader. For now, we are in the gambling period!

Zombie, be sincere to yourself, was it as bad as this during GEJ era? even occupy Nigeria in 2012 only lasted for 2weeks, but fuel scarcity in this dullard's time is now going into months. Haba, mind u, fuel was never sold at #200/ litre during Gej regime. If there is one achievement of Gej, it is the availability of fuel.

Before you start defending mediocrity, reason! Why on earth will someone use a man you tagged as a failure to compare the all knowing, Almighty Messiah called Buhari? Compare the number of days we experienced fuel scarcity within over five years of GEJ tenure to one 10 months of Buhari's maladministration, then you'd see truly that Buhari's indebted to cluelessness and ineptitude, because under Buhari's 10 months, we have experienced fuel scarcity more times than under GEJ's over five years. Also recall that GEJ didn't go travelling to other countries during the tail end of his administration when we experienced fuel scarcity. SmH

Buhari and his zombies are like a student that came newly into a class and asked to be made a class captain because he's brilliant and will outshine the 1st class captain (assuming the position requires brilliance) in academics. The class agreed to that, only for him to turn out to be the worst in class, while his fans keep making excuses for him like: see even the previous class captain had a B in a MEEN course so it's OK for the Buhari to have an F.

The reason sai barbarian zombies stoop so low is what baffles me. Even in the wild, those creatures wouldn't descend to the level sai barbarian zombies are descending presently. Little wonder the zombie tag fits and goes well with them.
