The fact is he cost £38.5m and you sincerely know dude is above average. Even though we know cost of a player is a complex thing and more than just his performance on the pitch.

So some of our players called LVG clueless and blamed the Spurs defeat on him after he attacked first Rashford during the halftime break(which resulted to his removal) and then Rojo after the match. The man stormed out of the room and proceeded to pick a fight with reporters.

Heard other players were even consoling Rashford while they were going back in the bus and you'd wonder why any player would want to play for him. 3 ex-players, Rafael, Di Maria and Nani, have also complained of him.

martial isn't an average Joe
the 60 Millon valuation is based on what he hopefully will become.
I won't say he is the best player in his age bracket but if you made a team of people in said bracket he would be a starter.

Iwobi -->2 goals 2 assists in 3 starts in the EPL. Meanwhile iwobi is 19 and has never been played as a CF while Martial has been played as a CF.

That Manchester area is too choked.

Not only does city have to contend with United, there's Bolton, Stockport, Oldham, Salford, Preston all within a 30 mile radius...slightly further afield you have Burnley, Wigan, Blackburn, Stoke, Crewe etc...

And these are just the clubs I can think of off the top.

When you have like 15 neighbours within 60 miles of your stadium, and one of them is a giant like United, it's difficult to pull new fans.

I didn't even factor the Liverpool clubs only a short drive up the M60
