Lagos is a 'mini Nigeria'. These figures should be on a scrolling screen in both 'houses', so that when those politicians from states contributing so little ('I no mention anybody o') are demanding and sharing so much for themselves they can quickly be referred to reality. If Lagos wants railway, airport, seaport, 'anyport', anything -- you give it. Them Lagos, Delta, Ogun, Rivers, Enugu, Edo, Anambra senators and hons shouldn't be there, where some Kwaran, Zamfaran, Sokoto, Katsina, Gombe, Nassarawan senators or Hons. are presiding, sharing, and lording things over the same guys putting in the hard work -- IGR is basically smart thinking and hard work. 3 Likes |

Oyo and Kano states are lazy or do i say their leaders are bereft of ideas. Those states have enough commerce and economic potentials to record not less than N30b IGR per annum. Little wonder, Ajimobi is also crying for the national cake to pay salaries. What a shame of a people! 11 Likes |

naijamerican: Are you ok? Everyone is thinking about how to step up the revenue of their state and you are calling out northerners. Are you not worried that S/West IGR is far higher than that of S/East even without oil? Please don't digress this thread. Think of how to add value to your state or region to increase her IGR 19 Likes |

Those mentioning Fayose are obviously of the APC. These people refuse to think for a second. Is it not shameful that inspite the large sums from Oyo state, Osun state, we barely hear any positive things from these states? I'm very sure 90% of posters here do not even know the name of Oyo state Governor. Aside his sexy daughters abroad who gives him fair recognition, many do not know he exists, yet he receives one of the largest IGRs in the South West. Funny thing is, the same Ajimobi or whatever he calls himself is one of those Governors demanding for Trillions from MTN. What has he, or what is he doing with the monies he gets in form of IGR and allocation? Aside Ibadan, do we really know any other town in Oyo state? Has Ibadan recorded any transformation since the past 5 years? Why is it that some South Westerners hate Fayose? Must everyone be on the side of Tinubu, a renowned criminal? 4 Likes |

scholes0: See south East with their 5 states doing very great , if South East had 6 states and there was no marginalization like closing down the business of people unnecessary , denial of the basic right of an international airport for so long a time and blatant refusal of the federal government to open up a deep sea port in the nearby coastal states of Rivers, bayelsa, cross river and Akwa Ibom , these states would have gone very far in independence from oil cash Ponponkon should come and defend the low figures for Abia state 1 Like |

Buchoalfa: Very low but not bad based on Nigerian standard. That figure puts SouthWest on third position for regional ranking 1. Lagos = 268,224,782,435 2. South South = 179,096,237,974 3. South West(excluding Lagos) = 71,728,635,492 4. South East Total = 62,726,688,189 _______________________________________ 5. North West Total = 48,579,503,540 6.
