Even before the man became president you called him all sort of names.

You disliked him for being a northerner. For being a muslim. For being a general.

You are the divisive ones.

Till date there's never been a policy, plan, statement from the stable of the ruling government that has pleased you.

Rather you must find a fault even if it would be of benefit to you directly.

You lot are the tribalists.

Then you claim your America.

Anarchists looking for failure of their own kinsmen.

Bro you need to ignore some people. They are doing their paid job. Since PDP lost in the last election, the Internet has not witnessed peace from some people of the SS and SE. The beautiful thing is that their Wailing or Weeping does not stop FG from achieving in this dispensation.
Whathe GEJ can't achieve in 6 yrs they expect PMB to achieve in 1 yr, even after a battered state of economy left behind by their clueless grand master GEJ. Soar loses! angry

And to further prove my earlier point on page 1, below is list of countries that had by-passed the world bank and IMF offers and made currency swap deals with China. As at yet, the only African country on the list is South Africa!.

1. Table below shows the countries that have swaps with China as at 2015

This's a clear proof African governments are being held hostage by the IMF and the world bank.

2. Map below shows the countries that have swaps with China as at 2015.

U see your problem why u are part of the 70% failure of buhari,Buhari is 30% himself ; rationalizing failure!

Pls for the love of nation stop the 'what did GeJ do' kind of response when pressed on Buhari. Simply explain what is Buhari's economic policy direction in a layman's language. Perhaps, we can start long academic jargons that will ultimately deflate the import of the question.

Buhari is always expected to be better sadly he is a disaster! So stop comparing else u will make GeJ become saintly.

Fiscal federalism has no two meanings. Do like the Ethiopians did, after which China came to Ethiopia and thus found the calm and right political atmosphere to take Ethiopia to the greater heights Ethiopia is in today.

Ethiopians ignored the fact that some areas of the country were with mineral resources more than other areas, yet they voted for fiscal federalism, which implies that every area must use what is found in the area to develop its people and land, then pay taxes to a lean central government.

But in Nigeria, Aboki soldiers proliferated twenty new states in northern Nigeria wrongly using land mass as criterion. Through these states, Aboki sucks up most of Nigeria's oil revenues and use accruing political over-representation from these states to lord it to rest of Nigeria.
You know so much about Ethiopia and little about Nigeria. Northern Nigeria does not have 20 states and if you don't know this, how do you then comment about how the states were formed?

Stop making comparisons of Nigeria and Ethopia.

What is the Population of Ethiopia?
What value does Ethopia contribute to the World Trade Index
What is the worth of Ethopia's FOREX and Foreign Reserve
What is Ethopia's GDP

you can't compare this figures and pointers to that of Nigeria.

You guys should stop being gullible and suckers to every move made by Buhari.

To answer your question, Ethiopia is the second largest most populated country in Africa, next to Nigeria. Roughly about 93 million.

Be an agent of change from corrupt ways, shun ruthless corrupt leaders. Stop portraying your idiocy online by arguing blindly to castigate present administration. I am definitely sure you didn't oppose Jonathan government aggressively as you're now.

The truth is dat this Buhari govt actually had d most well defined economic policy in d last 10years. A good acronym to define and sumarise Buhari economic policy is DOTE ( Diversification Of The Economy)

Several African countries, Nigeria included were recommended to diversify their economies in the past by the "evil West" among others. Their leaders said they would do so when times were tough but stopped when times got better (oil price went up). This is nothing new. Let us hope the president will stick to the diversification when times get better this time around.

Exactly!.

This is what scares western powers more than anything. I wrote that in a previous thread.

Western nations does not want a situation where one good idea from one African country spread to other third world countries. Because, that's how colonialism ended. Freedom from colonialism began from Lord Kwame Nkrumah is Ghana, and immediately Ghana got her independence it spiraled into a domino effect, and within a couple of years every other African nation fought for her freedom.

Western nations are scared and literally fighting for their survival now, not Nigeria. They're scared because once Nigeria figure out how to solve our current economic impasse, it would become a model for other third world countries to by-pass the IMF and world bank's exploitation. This's the real reason they don't want us act outside of the IMF or world bank control, and it's the real reason the neo-colonialist Ms. Christine Lagarde is frequenting Nigeria.

Keep it up Africa!.
God bless you for this comment. You know what's happening. Meanwhile, Ethiopia is still far behind Nigeria economically, technology wise, and in terms of living standards, so easy on the comparisons guys.

Western countries have a huge interest in prospering African economies for many reasons:

1. They would have more markets to sell their products.
2. They would have safe countries to invest in and thus profit.
3. They would have to worry less about illegal immigration.
4. They would have to worry less about war torn regions giving birth to terrorism.

And the list goes on.

Really?.

Haven't the west been doing that since 1425 when the Portuguese first arrived?. Someone has claimed to be helping you for over 500 years and we're still poor?. And all we do is get poorer while they get richer?.

For your information, they're rich because we're poor. And we're poor because they're rich. All we need is find our own ways of solving our problems and western economies would collapse naturally.

Africa has given more help to western nations, and still do.

The reason NUMBER ONE in this day and age why Nigeria is poor is because their own people / leaders mismanaged the abundant natural and human resources.

Africa has given more help to western nations, and still do.

They help the West but they can't help themselves? What an irony!

Problem is dealings with the west had never been to our advantage. And be informed, all third world countries and more would cut off from the west. It's a question of ''when'' not ''if''. Africa would trade among ourselves!.

They would have been to Nigeria's advantage if Nigeria's leaders hadn't looted the funds and loans they were given and if they had made the necessary structural reforms. Simple!

Africa will isolate itself from the rest of the world? grin
And you think that you will create a utopia when Nigerians are not even able to respect other tribes within their own borders?

The root cause of corruption in Africa is that the model of brainwashing education left us by colonial powers doesn't allow the education of elites with true African mindset. So, the politicians loot and siphon off our monies to Switzerland, London, USA, all still to profit the west.

How many times have you heard a traditional African ruler stole money?.

correlation between the swaps and the being held hostage.
There's a clear correlation. We deal with China and we don't have to depend on the west for any thing. We'll be free from IMF and world bank Trojan loan.

Yes, Africa can trade among itself and isolate the rest of the world once we've done an our homework.

The true African mindset would be when the west have no influence whatsoever on an African mind. Like, Russians, Japanese, Chinese. True independence.

Russians have turned away from communism toward a capitalist system.
Japan is the co-founder of the IMF that you all so despise.
The Chinese elites want democratic reforms based on the models in the West.

Bamboozle your most gullible readers with forlorn hope that China is going to do miracles for Nigeria.

Nigeria's dysfunctional unitary government system and parasitic political structure are reasons why after about $1 trillion earned from oil in about fifty years, Nigerian leaders weren't able to provide common electricity, pipe borne water, stable fuel supplies at the petrol stations, and above all, political stability.
