From me just try to know what oil and gas applications you will be developing software for?

Also do you know a little about the company and their software needs based on the services they offer and their internal operations. E.g Do they use SAP, Avatar?

If you have enough time, a simple Google search "Software Developers Interview Questions" will give you some results you can practice with.

Google is your friend. They may not even ask you tough software questions but a general life question.

As someone who has had to recruit programmers, i am more interested in your practical coding skills. How do you interpret business requirements? How you write your code? Which constructs and finctions do you prefer? How well can you research?

At our company, we even allow access to the Internet during practical interviews, yet.....

What was your role in your pevious place of work? Have a little knowledge about the company and its internal operations. What input will know programming language add to ....... department. Will you be able to build software to do ............

Your good skill in responsive enterprise apps with any object oriented programming of your choice will bail you out.
If possible, go with your laptop to show demo of any project you have developed. This will go a long way to convince them that you are the man that should be considered for the opening.

You need to be specific with the programming language they expect you to be proficient in.

I hire developers and there is no fixed question Questions would be based on your experience as a developer and what you claim in your CV.

Grabbing basic theory in computer science around programming etc.

As a software developer myself, and a mid-to-high level manager, I used to make it quite simple.

After a few usual questions about person, I would ask to see his or her portfolio, sample of a successful project already done. If there was none (yet), I would give a short task to the job applicant, and see if the applicant can solve it and how. If it is a beginner position, I would just jump to the last step, and ask tech question, then see how they questions are answered (the attitude and calm rather than the accuracy of the answer).

This should be a good starting point..

Its on this post I now know why they call APC supporters Zombies. Look at the reason they are giving when people are loosing jobs and the country economy is gradually collapsing

A lot of questions are in regards to algorithms. How strong are you with data structures and algorithms? Are you familiar with sort algorithms, are you familiar with search (linear and binary) algorithms, etc. etc. There are many good videos and articles on YouTube for this. Thanks!

You may have to discuss or work with one language of your strength. Sha know about database management
