Osinbajo Continues To Serve As RCCG Pastor (press Statement) by contactmorak: 11:26am On Apr 20, 2016 |
Read the press statement from the office of the Vice President below... Our attention has been drawn to a false publication by a certain online medium, to the effect that Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has resigned as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. The report is misleading and completely baseless. Prof. Osinbajo continues to serve as a Pastor in the RCCG, honoring the call of God on his life. He is in fact the Pastor-in-Charge of RCCG Lagos Province 48, a position he has held in the past three years and in which he continues to serve. This completely fabricated report should be ignored and disregarded in its entirety. Hmm, can he serve two masters properly? "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. (Matthew 6:24) - NIV. (also Luke 16:13). The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light (Matt 6:22). 21 Likes 5 Shares |

This is not good at all. How can you combine partisan politics and active religious service. It's written: "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money" (cf. Matt. 6: 24). Just like the poster above me cited. Moreso: "Then Jesus said to them, 'Give to Caesar what belongs to him and to God what belongs to God"(cf. Mk. 12: 17). This was the major reason why The Catholic Church asked late Fr. Moses Adasu, erstwhile governor of Benue state to quit active priestly ministry while in office as governor. I am just telling you Mr Vice President to choose one, cos if you end up in hell because of yeye Nija politics; na you loose pass. 14 Likes 3 Shares |

our God is not a God of commotion When the apostles were called, The Bible has it that they left everyTHING and followed Him. One can only imagine how much Saint Matthew the tax collector was making at the time. Yet he let go. wallex1983:you don't know what you are talking... do you know that Osibanjo does not have any influence over buhari. As a man of god his presence should be felt in the system . but the reverse is the case. When the righteous are in power the people rejoice. Osibanjo is the VP. if buhari is not making things right, he should rise and do so and damn the consequences. That is what people that serve God in spirit and in truth do. There light shines amidst darkness. 16 Likes 2 Shares |

Honestly, can a Nigerian politician of today maintain holiness and godliness? Who am I to even ask, Only God knows! God Help the VP! John 6:15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone. Even Christ turned down earthly kingship who is our role model! 22 Likes 2 Shares |

sufficientGod: How exactly is this determined? Does calling oneself a MOG make it so? Isn't Osinbanjo himself a MOG? If Osinbanjo is working as a pastor in RCCG, then his actions must reflect on "Daddy", as the supervisor. 7 Likes |

Nigerians are hapless. They would rather have a devil rule them. For once, you have a God fearing person come to volunteer to lead and all you can do is attack him. Serving in the church is a service to God. If bank managers, or CEOs, or Vice Chancellors or clerks can serve God, why not a VP? There is even something wrong with how we think. a Vice President is not a traditional ruler or a king. It is a job, a leadership job, and it is open to all Nigerians of certain age. This man is learned. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is a Professor. He is not an idle or a hungry man. He does not need to be a VP to be rich! For choosing to serve the country, it should be something to commend and not to attack. A lot of Nigerians are idle and hapless. They cannot see any good in anyone. They live in fool's paradise. They think they are intelligent because they can open their mouths to attack or abuse others. Sad. We need change of hearts if this country will progress. 48 Likes 7 Shares |
