simonns: How can we apply for Estonian Government Scholarship when we are yet to be admitted? I thought the scholarship application has to be done when one gets to Estonia or even automatic as far as you are admitted? Please clarify. |

simonns: Please shed more light on the issue of Estonia Govermmnmet Scholarship |
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by simonns(m): 6:59am On Apr 26, 2016 |
I'm sorry, you can no longer apply for the scholarship. The deadline has passed. It's caters for only living expenses. One can apply for it before getting admission but only after getting a positive feedback from Uni's first review of one's application. One has to signifiy on admission application that he or she got to know about Estonia through the scholarship or send emails after applying to get a supporting letter. Please visit www.studyinestonia.ee/Master-degree-scholarships to get more information. Tuition fee scholarship is automatic after admission if a Uni is offering scholarship for the course one applied for. For example, UT admits only 25 students for the course I applied for and offers 100% tuition scholarship to 14 students on the admission list. |

tlk2Prince: Nobody have issue with any of the estonian embassies jare! The main problem here is how to get visa to the country. For example! The Estonian embassy in Turkey, how do u get turkish visa here in Nigeria! |
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by shayhune: 6:41pm On Apr 26, 2016 |
yoyolagos: @yoyolagos and co. India is the easiest route. When you apply for India visa and you inform the officer that you've been admitted to a school in Estonia and you need to go through India to obtain visa to Estonia, the India officer will contact the Estonian Embassy to verify your claims and if true, will issue you a short-term visa to India. From India, you can now obtain visa to Estonia and get ur RP done in Estonia. That's all. @simonns. From what my brother who is presently in Estonia told me, Estonia is full of Russians who don't really like blacks and wen dey get drunk, they behave nasty towards Blacks. But d racism issue is not really on the high side there. At least, it's much better than Ukraine or Russia. 1 Like |

Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by nairaspace: 1:40am On Apr 27, 2016 |
hakeembee: Kindly reply stating you are still interested and at that point you are killing 2 birds with one stone. They will get your result evaluation from U of Tartu and with God on your side you might get an admission offer from both school. At that point you can then sit down, cross your legs and decide to do Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, father has a donkey, donkey die, father die, Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.. and make your choice. I stand to be corrected. 2 Likes |

IT programmes received most applications among UT English-taught curricula 21.04.2016 2,279 applications were submitted to the UT’s 19 English-taught bachelor’s and master’s curricula and the integrated curriculum of Medicine. Similarly to previous year, most applications were submitted for IT specialisations: the Computer Science programme received 242 applications from international candidates and 40 from Estonian candidates and the programme of Software Engineering had 277 and 41 applications respectively. Programme Director in Master Studies of Software Engineering Professor Marlon Dumas said: “I have no doubt that this is one of the best, if not the best, cohorts of applicants we've ever had in this masters' program.” The curriculum of International Relations and Regional Studies was also popular among Estonian and international applicants, with 185 and 31 applications respectively. Programme Director of International Relations and Regional Studies and UT Professor of International Relations Theory Eiki Berg said that people’s interest in the curriculum could be explained by the current complicated state of international relations: the Ukrainian crisis, ISIS, EU internal conflicts and migration pressure are only some keywords that will get better comprehension through this programme. “We have the best professional competence in Estonia, a reasonable balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, a wide range of teaching methods and the wish to show students how international politics works in the real world. To experience everything yourself is completely different from sitting in class all the time. Knowledge of international relations opens a world where different communication channels are overshadowed by historical and cultural contexts—without knowing these, no group of human beings can function effectively,” said Berg. Admissions was successful also for curricula which were opened for the first time, the Science and Technology bachelor’s programme received 118 applications and the International Law and Human Rights programme received 66 applications. UT Senior Specialist for International Studies Ülle Tensing stressed that at the moment we can only count applications which have been submitted properly electronically. “How many of these applicants submit the required educational documents and get the minimal required score for applying becomes clear at the beginning of June the latest when admission decisions are made,” said Tensing. Applications were submitted from 108 countries. Hello guys, I'm applying for Integrated engineering at TUT. I wrote my online test last week. and passed and was told i could proceed for the Skype interview. I haven't gotten any feedback from them since then. How long after the test am i suppose to get the interview? Is this normal or am i just being anxious ni? Also the admission centers phone numbers are always forwarded and seemingly unavailable? Any info? Thanks in advance |
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by yoyolagos: 10:44am On Apr 27, 2016 |
SeuIn: My advice! Screenshot ur moodle test result and mail it to them and follow-up with phone call. You should get a mail acknowledging your test result. But normally, u should get an interview date 1-2 weeks after your moodle test if you really follow-up with your application. Although mine took a month oooo coz we are d first of applicants . |
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by SeuIn(m): 10:58am On Apr 27, 2016 |
yoyolagos: Thanks man, A little relieved. Although i did not get a mail after the moodle test. I have sent a mail to them but did not get a reply back. I can understand they are probably getting too many emails from people at this time. Would screenshot and send another mail. How about the phone numbers? Do you have a working number? do we have to add any international prefix to the numbers on their website? Appreciate your work on this thread man. |

simonns: If you have applied for the Estonian Government Scholarship, how did you get the Confirmation letter from Estonian higher education institution regarding the admittance and study period or submission of the admission documents required for the scholarship application? |
Re: Lets Talk About Estonia by simonns(m): 7:06pm On Apr 27, 2016 |
AdeyemoSOT: Like I posted earlier, one has to signify on admission application that he or she got to know about Estonia through the scholarship, or send emails to Uni contact person for the scholarship, after applying requesting for a supporting letter. The supporting letter will consist of information that satisfies the requirements of the scholarship body. |
