amakachigerry: Calm down! You will progress better if you stop getting stressed. Old documents, especially financial and bank statements are very bad. If you present an old statement the first thought of the visa officer will be. "Is the money still there? or has it been withdrawn?" We always advise to present the freshest statement that you can. Remember they have ways of checking if your funds are genuine. |

[quote author=Vicjustice post=44676775] If for instance someone is depositing a thousand Naira monthly toward his "Retirement Savings Acount", where will his RSA be helpful in presenting his financial strength and where/how would he make best use of his RSA during visa application? @Vicjustice, That's my question. Please provide me an insight. Thank you!! |
Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by Vicjustice: 1:38pm On Apr 14, 2016 |
njajuru:In the instance that I gave, the "Retirement Savings Account" will not add any "strength" to your application because, saving N1000 monthly will amount to N12000 in a year, so, that would hold no water. |

Ok, I got your point. The RSA is more than your assumption; its over N2M standing. Thanx for your response!! |

I applied recently for a tourist visa at the Italian embassy, I was unable to submit my certificate of payment of tax on personal Income (PIT) and Tax clearance certificate (TCC) because I don't have any, I manage my own personal company which is an electrical company, I only submitted my certificate of business incorporation, personal statement of account and the rest of the documents. Pls I just want to know if this can leads to my visa denial cos I could not provide my tax cert or because I don't pay tax either. I will be glad if anyone can reply ASAP. Thanks |

Good day, Am a bonfide student in one university in Ireland, have paid school fees in full, lodged my living expenses in bank for the one year programme, secured a permanent accommodation and commenced lectures. I travelled to Uk from Ireland to pick up some things, was only asked for ID card and I presented such and was granted entry to UK. In Uk I encountered immigration and was asked to return to Nigeria and not Dublin because I didn't possess lawful document to enter. (made every effort for Dublin transit but was impossible as I was granted single entry which I have used when I entered Dublin). Came back to Nigeria and reapplied for entry visa with letters from school,my landlord and other documentations. The application came out refused with right of appeal because of IH-immigration history. Last year Uk restricted me (termed - deception) from making application of such category (except in other categories) for certain period because of Innocent mistake I made in UKBA application form. Despite the restriction from Uk I came clean with Dublin, told the whole story and they granted me student visa. In your legal and expertise opinion, the appeal will be in written form, how may I address this Immigration History for a fair chance of the earlier decision reversal? Are you able to recommend an immigration lawyer or one knowledgeable to help me, I need one please. Thank you and God bless. Keep up the good work. Sent from my iPhone |

lewiskay: I thought part of a visa application, was submitting all relevant documentation(s) that might be required in deciding your application. Forgetting that bank statement (in your admission), you where not fully prepared for the application. Your best way forward, is reapplying and ensuring all documents are in date and in order!!! NB: The refused applicant is above the age of consent. Hence you have no say over the applicant, incase she refuses to return. The ECO is probably not happy with her ties to Nigeria and financial status presently(which might lead into temptation). |

lewiskay: A new application would only be deemed appropriate, if she has a favourably positive change in circumstances. |

Toro2020:While the border between the UK and the Republic Of Ireland may seem open to everyone, the onus is on the traveler to ensure he is eligible to cross it: therefore, whoever crosses the border illegitimately may be punished even with a ban. To be honest, i'm surprised that you were still given an Irish visa despite the UK ban, surprised because, the UK and Ireland shares same immigration database. As for appealing the ban, I doubt it will be successful because, by your own admission, you made a representation which they deemed deception: however, if you want to proceed with contesting the decision, then you may search for a lawyer on Google. Remember not to pay any substantial amount of money (online) until you meet the lawyer in person and discuss the issues and enquire to know your chance of success. |

Hello house, I want to apply for a Schengen visa in two days, I work in a company and also own a real estate company that is 3 months old, I pay tax monthly and I have the receipt, the statement of account I am submitting is the company I work for.. My question is can I use my real estate company as ties, as I plan on submitting both company documents. But only one statement of account with a balance of 2.5M, I earn 360k from the company I work for. Or should I just submit only the company I work for to avoid complications??. Thanks you |

Hello house, I want to know which is most important in a statement of account for a student visa, monthly income or d balance on it? What if the income is more than enough for d student's monthly upkeep but the balance is low? For example if d income is 300 and all d student need monthly is less than/equal to 50? Will d account work? Tx |
