The fulanis who are Nigerians just like the rest of us have a constitutional right to unrestricted movement to all parts of the country. The law enforcement agencies also have a duty to provide protection to all Nigerians everywhere

They have a right to move in any part of the country and not a right to destroy peoples farms and means of livelihood.

They should go and ranch the cows period, enough if this nonsense. Don't they make money by selling the cows, why can they spend money to take of of their flocks.

Typical abokiiii mentality of always wanting everything free free free.

the constitution guarantees freedom of human movement from one part of the country to the other not the movement of cows...anyways I am not surprised because cows are even eligible to vote up north, they should limit their cows right up there, nonsense.

This people cites the place that favour them in the constitution but reject that part that doesn't favour them that is what I call "select and abide". The president has been jumping the constitution avoiding court rules and allegedly killing extra judiciousely and now they want to cite the constitution. My comment; "nothing last forever". I just like people with foresight. During the election some sets of people refused voting for Buhari knowing what he's capable of doing if he becomes the president...that is what is on ground now. The good LORD is never asleep and He'll continually safeguard HIS people from the craftiness of the wicked ones.

The Igbos started with the 'No man' s land', so I dont blame the fulanis. The Igbos are being put to test and their hypocrisy is being highlighted, and also shows that Nigerians can not trust them, especially in politics.

I agree with the Fulanis. But if they commit crime they should be apprehended. But to stop them from moving freely in Nigeria? Mba o. The same way no one stops the Igbos from hawking on the highway in Lagos and hiding guns for criminal opportunities.

My comment is not tribalistic, just being fair and rational.

Neither does it mean they must be seen as enemies, At least until it's clear they have bad intentions

What else do you need to confirm the bad intentions?

They destroy others' assets (crops).
They rape their women.
They kill

All over the country.

What exactly are you trying to say? What kind of argument are you pushing forward?

You guys are killing the truth! And it's so annoying and disrespectful to others' intelligence.

How can anyone compare street hawkers to herdsmen who destroy other people's assets (crops) all over the place?

Haba!

By the way, street hawking is also illegal.

The constitution guarantees freedom of movement without trespass and destroying others' properties.

The land where they graze their cows belong to others. That's stealing and trespass.

Stop deceiving yourself. Crime is crime.
As Nigerians they have the same freedom, just as the Igbos do all over Nigeria, to move to anywhere they so desire within Nigeria.
Not only that they deserve federal protection, as any Nigerian, anywhere they go within Nigeria.

Just as hawking is legal, so is cow-grazing. So, live and let them live. The **** rob with guns in Lagos disguising to be hawking. So it's comparable. We must deal with the 2 issues the same. And that is to let them be just as we let the **** be.

They don't even have the right to move cows on highways. It's not right. It's just that Nigeria is an upside down place. Cows hav caused accidents many times.

Grazing on others' land is even worse. It can't be defended.

Cow raising is a business. Why are they feeding them with others' grass on others' land? Yet they sell the cows for profit without paying any taxes. It's not right.

Fulani herdsmen is a false flag operation, an undercover terrorist activities to Islamize the country by providing justification for the passage of the Grazing Reserve Bill. That bill is the grand tool to islamize the country.

Your argument is weak and self-serving. It's disgraceful.

How can anyone compare Ibo traders with shops anywhere in Nigeria with destructive herdsmen?

Are there no other Fulanis living peacefully in the south? Has anyone complained about them?

When an Igbo man goes to another part of the country, does he just set up his store on another persons land without permission? I own a farm in Edo state, what right does a Fulani herdsman have to come and graze his cows on my farm without my permission?

Only Obasanjo took on all groups with any level of fairness.
These things happened under OBJ as well.
But whenever it happened, Obasanjo used brute force to quell it. Even as far as throwing out governors who were promoting militias. You can blame OBJ for failing to recognise the problem and maintaining the illusion of unity, what you cannot blame him for is fairness.

Did General Obasanjo (ret'd) use brute force against the SHARIA law states?
If NOT, why did he not use brute force as you said above?
Thanks

Nobody is stopping them from moving around, but they have no right to wander into a private farm or property, that is called trespassing.

Bros, it is same with the Igbos that are destructive. Remove Fulani in your post and put Igbo and you will understand that it is your argument that is weak and self-serving.

Im talking of igbos who are homeless and hawking while hiding guns somewhere. People who Fashola removed back to their steads. So stop being cunning by twisting facts. Who is talkinh of shop owners?

When you set emotions aside and think this through and through, you'd see some sense in it.

ALL LANDS in the country belongs to the government according to the Land Use Act and the constitution guarantees freedom of movement.

Nomads move around to graze their cattle, selling some where possible, while other people equally dispersed across every nook and cranny of the country sell clothes, vehicular spare parts and other such commercial activities. I don't see anyone calling for a ban on such activities.

What we should be bothered about is mitigating clashes between herdsmen and their host communities by way of ensuring they don't graze on cultivated fields.
That is the angle I think the government should be looking at working on, perhaps they could ensure noticeable barriers are created so when these herdsmen see them, they know "this is a restricted area" and trespassers would be duly punished.

There are some people inflaming the whole situation just because of the occupant of Aso Rock- taint the Fulanis and you essentially have tainted the president. What better campaign tool would there be for a party known for extreme ethnoreligious politicking, PDP, in 2019 than "Buhari is a Fulani man and his brothers are killers. Look at what they have done. Would you want to have them come back and kill the rest of you??" That is where I think this whole drama is headed.

As usual, I expect a lot of overly emotional kids to do nothing but insult me over my opinion, but hell, it wouldn't change nada.

On the other thread where they did the same, I wondered, the same people who wanted to bury Buhari alive when it was alleged he said "Nigerians are criminals", claiming (and rightly so) NOT ALL Nigerians are (Baba didn't say Nigerians are though but only listed some crimes we engage in abroad which give the country a bad image), are the people crucifying the Northern governors for saying essentially NOT ALL Fulanis are criminals!!

How the heck does one adopt two different opinions on these two (exactly similar) scenarios??

guy, you are not making any sense at all. those people you claim are selling clothes and vehicular parts in all the nukes and crannies of the country are not doing at the expense of other people's livelihood, they have never been involved in violent clashes wherever they are, they rent the spaces they do their trade, they also pay taxes to their hosts.

all lands belongs to the government truly, which is of course state government. thank God 3 governors(oyo, ondo &enugu) have come to declare against the fulani roaming about in their domain.

we are in the 21st century for christ sake, the fulani herdsmen should acquire land to do their grazing, they can't just be roaming about on people's land in the name of herding.

people like you are the one that will nail buhari's coffin, just like Jonathanians did to Jonathan. you always feel you just have to defend him wether good or bad. but you don't know how much of a damage you are doing to him by not criticizing his handling of things when he falters. it's even better you had kept quiet than shamelessly defending him

I reckon only with people that are wise enough to be able to separate partisanship from what affects your existence. There is no way you can be politically correct all the time except you are a paid zombie.

guy!!!!! you are not making any sense
