@Noethnicity: Dude I understand your points perfectly but I think there is a dark side of this whole stuff which the public isn't yet aware of. I am half Middle Belt and half South South and insist there are some elements trying desperately to derail this government, leveraging on the Fulani attacks to achieve that goal simply because: 1. They are terrified if measures are not taken and the government sustains it's anticorruption drive, it would be just a matter of time before they get caught up in the dragnet. 2. Some people had put all their eggs in one basket and lost them woefully with the outcome of the election. They feel the best way to have at least a foot in the corridor of power is to create such massive chaos the government would have no choice but to invite them to dinner. 3. Some people are simply ethnoreligious bigots and sadists and can't live with the fact that a Fulani Muslim is ruling them against all odds. Now, are these attacks new? The answer is NO. Are they just becoming more prevalent in the South (as you said) under the current govt? The answer is also NO. Are all herdsmen killers? NO. Are some herdsmen killers?? Absolutely. Are all herdsmen Fulanis? NO!! Now, have you wondered why in all these melee one word that has been featuring prominently is "Fulani Herdsmen". The video allegedly showing some armed men crossing a river in Benue state featured NO cow, yet people tagged them "Fulani herdsmen"!! Don't you wonder why?? How can you be sure some people didn't commission some idi¤ts to carry out these attacks?? Lastly ask yourself this: why is it so damn difficult for some people to imagine for a split second Southerners are themselves responsible for these just to taint the president when they insisted in the preceding admin that Northerners are the ones sponsoring the killings of their own brothers just to taint Jonathan?? There are soooo many things I'd like to say about this, perhaps on a dedicated thread but I've yet to find the strength in my fingers. I think there are things we don't know yet. 1 Like |

This government is an establishment one and you will not see any fundamental change in the status quo. Since our focus is primarily on corruption, I don't undrrstand why anyone should be complaining. |

I remember when the military government wanted to increase tax on cocoa in those days ,the Agbekoya of those days have a way of sending bee to fight the army! based on the story my grand mum told me, cocoa was the major source of revenue in the country then The farmers felt cheated and confronted the military government who tried to use the military to stop them from protesting in Ibadan, the Agbekoya fought back by sending swam of bee after the military to sting the hell out of them, the military government couldn't stand the farmers and had to called the farmers to round table for negociation. Agbekoya, do you still have this power to fight the nomads? 4 Likes |

And you can still open your mouth and say "We are law abiding citizens of Nigeria." After raping, killing and robbing people in various communities. I don't blame you tho, that's the result of having an OGA AT THE TOP. 1 Like |

kropotkin11:So true they have the equal right to move around anywhere they deemed in the country. But for how long will they stick to an achaic cattle herding system that no one, not even our Mr President would wish his son do or any of us would our sons. The world is not static; it is dynamic. Those beating their chests that this useless roaming across the country is legally backed by the Nigerian constitution should be ashamed. If they insist they should be ready for the unthinkable as it will no longer be business as usual... 3 Likes |

I know some people have not heard of Agbekoya before , that's why some people did not know how sophisticated and tactical Southerners are when it comes to resisting Oppression. |

nairacoded: Constitution says fulani can graze anywhere but I have not seen the statement that fulani should rape, maim and butcher even babies I mean babies because of cows.Enough is enough. Mmnhhh buhari seems to be seeking division at all cost if he does not implement what he saw and witnessed in kenya (ranches built for their cows).north says it's been born to rule, you gave your region vast land yet you are not contented. Irony of life.buhari this is 21st century , that nomadic life style of migrating to south has to change. Afterall you came with change and therefore fulani cattle rearers pattern is not immuned so buhari change it for peace to reign otherwise there could be impending disasater in nigeria if the south, west and east decide to defend themselves.A word they say is enough for the wise. 3 Likes |

omenka: During GEJ tenure, he supporters were always talking of his enemies making the country ungovernable for him. Instead of him to man up and perform, he was seeing enemies and haters. You guys are now doing the same thing. Instead u guys to critical and ruthless on performance, you guys are looking for region or haters who don't like him him to succeed. Listen, there is no where in the world where any leader is uniamously loved in a democracy. There must be haters. Go to American foums. In fact, a leader will likely perform less if he is well loved. So whether some region or people hate him or wants him to fail, it shouldn't be our business. what we want is clear results. so the earlier you supportes push for good governance, the better instead of always looking for enemies and haters else he will fail like his friend GEJ. 1 Like |

ALAYORMII: Lol. Their cow's are citizens of Nigeria cow's and in the cow's constitution of Nigeria, they have freedom of movement. I wonder why they refuse moving upward to Niger republic rather than the south. From all indication, The south has always been the savior of the North. From crude oil to grazing land yet they are regarded as "5%". Can maginalisation be more than this? |

kropotkin11:You seems to be stretching the provisions of the law to manifest absurdity. The constitution doesn't guarantee trespass to peoples' farm and destruction of economic crops. We should also learn to differentiate between the movement of persons and animals . |

omobaekiti: Something like this has been happening for long. I can remember when I was still in school, the road from Ago Iwoye to Ilishan was practically abandoned because of the terrors of this same herdsmen attacks on that road then. |
Re: No One Can Stop Us From Grazing In The South — Fulani Herdsmen by dazdilijae(m): 11:53am On May 01, 2016 |
kropotkin11: Freedom of movement doesn't include trespass n invasion of privacy. The same law that protects 1 person can kill another. freedom of movement can also be wandering. Where your freedom end is the beginning of another's. No land in d south is without a owner and there no grazing routes or reserves in d south so moving cows to a property belonging to some else without permission is also trespass and could invite direct attack on one self |

DaBullIT: Whatever is on a mans land is owned by the man. If we are to go legal, grazing on a man's land shouldn't be free not to talk about destroying a man's farm. Making animals walk many thousand miles from the north to the south is against animal laws in sane climate. |
