I thank God for my life, this incident happened to me wen I was much younger, I locked myself in my dad's car, I tried my possible best to open the door to no avail, I was already suffocating, hw i was saved I can't remember. Rip to the dead

No not so. if you are going to make a point in an environment where the majority would likely victimize you, you dont have to say it offensively, else you would just be seen as a pained person. my point

I keep trying to forget the day my only child almost died in the car. I left the car unlocked so that they can remove stuff and left him to play with the nanny. Didn't know that she left him in the car. I heard a horn but when I looked outside, I thought it was a neighbour.

After almost 30mins in the hot sun in the hot car with leather seats, I started looking for my son. I couldn't find him. I was so scared. Next thing I just heard a very loud and long horn from the front of my house, I ran outside to the car and saw him there.

He was soaked through with sweat and was so weak. I cried and cried when I brought him in. He fainted before finally coming round and drinking small water. I took him to the hospital and they gave him the all clear. I have never felt so bad in all my life.

Now, I never leave a car unlocked regardless of whatever. Still brings tears to my eyes. I sold that car the next week cos I hated driving that car with it's memories.

why did you think he was saved?? Dont think about the luck,Gods grace thingy,it was from your actions,some parents have issues with their non challant attitudes towards the needs of their kids,a woman once left her sick child at the mercy of malaria in me hood to attend some party,ofcourse she met her cold stiff son when she came back,you a great woman and that child is lucky to have you.@topic the fault or blame goes solely to the parents,or whoever should be in care of the kids when the incident happened,the fellow prolly forgot there were kids around for a long period which resulted in their death,most likely the vehicle was not locked,the kids got in and outa curiosity hit the central lock button,which only a pull of the inner lever will solve but how would they know?even some adults finds it difficult to unlock vehicles,especially those who are used to the old lock mechanism you have to pull up and press down,dying this way is more horrible than hypothermia,rip to the lil ones.

so so sad.RIP

well d only plausible reason in this context is if werent at home....no parent in the whole wide world spends 24 hrs with their children..however..parental instincts makes parents know not to let their children out of their sight for too long..

-Assuming they took the car key and unlocked , i am sure such kids would be smart enough to know all basic controls of the car, kids nowadays are pretty smart.
-If the car was already opened they could have as well , just opened it and gotten out
-If they locked it from inside(i dont know what kind of car it is anyway),.....hmmm i dont even know what to say again

i feel really sad right now

we are always quick to assume its foul play,or its supernatural!!!it doesnt work that way always, the kids wouldn't have opened the vehicle as rightly said by you,and wont know the basics of unlocking it,now all the doors of the vehicle cant get locked at once only if the central lock is applied,which was the scenario that likely played out here,the kids hit the button,all doors got locked and no amount of pull of the door knob will open it except the lil lever below or beside it is flipped open or the central lock pressed again,cuz its a toggle on toggle off button,the case was an avoidable accident if only the adults in their care was vigilant enough,teach kids defensive tactics??lols,how funny can you get,this kids are barely 7yrs old,and they cant ever break those windows with bare hands,am sure they wont even think about that,all that will be goin on in their head is mummy,daddy,somebody get me outa here,drenched with tears and sweats,its horrible.

You are right, no parent would spend 24hrs with their children but they should always know where they are at any point in time at that age. Many years ago when my boss came to Nigeria to do an inspection, he was shocked at the amount of children roaming around unsupervised. He asked me if this was normal and i could not understand what he meant. It was until years later i understood what he was talking about. By U.S standards, most parents in Nigeria would either be in jail or have their children taken away from them due to negligence.

Very avoidable death... Toys re ment for kids. Its not everything you allow your child to play with. Even the vehicle maker state the age range to operate vehicle. RIP kids.

It does not hurt to teach kids how to defend themselves regardless of their age , I didnt say anything was supernatural, but just read over again and again and try to analyse the story, some things are not just in place.Cheers.

We ae forcing ourselves to live oyimbo lifestyle,mind your own business ways,Africans are never made to mind their business in our gene, na copycat push us there,Oyinbo wey get affordable or free health care,avery fast emergency tretment with their ambulance ,hence they hardly care if anything happen to their neighbours,they are the ones we copy,we wey no reach them,eventhough we rich pass them,but na to squander our own money cos our own problems.

My neighbour did this to his 2 kids on friday. I wanted to open the car door but stopped myself knowing he had attitude issues. I told him out of anger to open the windows of the car. The look he gave me... it was not here

This is a very sad event. What is sadder is the fact that maybe a neighbour might have seen the kids when they were fine but didnt intervene because of the walls we young people are building with people around us instead of bridges

This "mind your business" attitude is killing us in many ways than one. We easily forget that what binds us as humans are so many and infinitely greather than what divides us.

i never implied u said it was supernatural,re read ma post over and over again,you will see the spot "foul play or supernatural" it doesnt hurt to teach kids,but its useless when they cant make a single use of the knowledge you v taught,thats why we have pre school classes,age groups and academic works are directly proportional, they are kids they need protection from their parents,not survival tactics,as they grow in age and size,then different knowledge can be applied easily,a ten yrs old wouldnt be caught in this kinda web,it only happens to kids below 7 yrs no matter how smart they are,cheers too.
