Dottore: Bros, Telecom sector is far different from petroleum sector. This would have been a good idea in an ideal society but i tell now that this will not solve our problem. This private sector cabal will still fix their prices from their union and there is nothing you can do, mark my words. is this not the Naija i know |

Removing fuel subsidy will do this nation good. But the timing now is wrong PMB should not be misled, even buying Labour Unions might not calm the hungry masses under a severe economy , if done now the consequences might be too difficult for PMB /APC to bear, time for propaganda is over, fuel subsidy is not creating thousands of "jobs" dressing masquerade talk by Alhaji Lia Muhammad . PMB should revive the ailing economy first and then remove it gradually . GEJ attempt was also crushed or condemned by wrong timing -1st of January when virtually people's pockets are almost empty from the expenses of December. Removing Subsidy now might be a time bomb despite the facts that it will be good for us all, after all how many of us buy fuel now below #100. The hungry masses are looking for "good" time to occupy the streets, so fuel subsidy removal might create that opportunity. Don't be misled PMB. 1 Like |

2012 one man looked ahead, and knew instantly that in order to get out of the financial quagmire 3 and more years ahead he would need to take the tough decision to remove the fuel subsidy....X years later we are borrowing to meet our financial obligations as per remuneration of civil servant plus bailing the states who have no other source of income but the FG. So much indeed for cluelessness if you ask me. Lagos, Kano and Port-Harcourt were the epicenters for a protest that halt progress into full deregulation; meaning by now the wound inflicted by the deregulation would have healed plus it would have been bearable since the dollar exchange was predictable and buoyed by a soaring crude oil price. These ought to have freed up cash allocated to subsidy payment and make more fund available for capital projects. Every educated mind can read the opportunity lost and the blind can see the benefits but, the so called "progressives" in connivance with compromised NLC who serve their bellies only paralyze the economy with strikes and holding GEJ to ransom by useless demands of price reversal plus increase in minimum wage. The media was conscripted to a sinister plan coupled with ill-gotten wealth from the son of perdition from the SS, promised Eldorado by the spinmeisters now occupying the seat of power that Petrol can sell for 40Naira not less and setting the people against the Govt. of the day. So much for progressive. Now the old wounds are to be re-opened only that this time the wound will cut deeper as the naira is on a free fall exacerbated by a low oil price. This can be likened to feeding the injury with bot-fly; this time it will be more painful. Now the same promoters of 40Naira per liter of PMS, are now going about hiking the price in a surreptitious manner. Cowards, lily-livered morrafuckers....leaders without balls afraid of the monsters they have created. What is sauce for the geese is sauce for the gander....although this is the best move:Now who among the two-faced-PMB and Tinubu or their party APC is ready to take responsibility for this action and bell the cat....Time will tell. But this is to teach Nigeria that rather than hop on the band wagon to demonize an idea or the person just because someone or group say so, we should check their political undertone as their advices are for cheap personal gain and liken to the Greek's horse gift to Troy. |

There is different between a visionary leader and a missionary leader but believe me every country of the world today need a visionary leader who foresees situation in a visionary point of view and put a corrective measures. It means that this administration lack vision and its can only rely on the vision of the past government to make progress. First the fuel subsidy whom in your statement claim to be a scam is what you still fall back on, deregulation whom we you strongly opposes is sees as the solution to our problems today but the past administration foresee this you make politic about it at the detriment of our suffering subjecting the poor Nigerians into a total hardship when this would have been a story we are now starting afresh see you in 2019.Its obvious that all the vision of the past government is what the present Nigeria government will use bet me. |

eddyroyal:capitalism, socialism and communism all have advantages and disadvantages..what you should be saying is the Nigerian govt should play its supervisory role well in capitalism after all there are strong countries in the world that practice it...heck the china people talk about is only communist in politics but largely capitalistic ( state sponsored though) in economy..Nigeria has tried in govt running businesses and failed woefully left, right and center. 1 Like |
