In defiance of President Muhammadu Buhari’s order for security forces to curtail militants’ violence in the South South geo political zone of the country, the Niger Delta Liberation Force (NDLF), yesterday declared that the bombing of pipelines in the Niger Delta would continue, stating that President Buhari “is not God to be feared”.

The group, in a statement yesterday by its spokesman, Mark Anthony, said the entire Nigerian Army was incapable of protecting all pipelines in the Niger Delta.

Anthony said that as at the time they surrendered their weapons during the reign of President Goodluck Jonathan, they made it clear to the world that bombing of pipelines was not over.

While demanding the sack of Paul Boroh, Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, for trying to muscle militants with threat, Anthony stated: “We have not condemned the current bombing because when we surrendered, we told the world that bombing of pipelines was not over yet.”

“Those bombing pipelines in Delta State should not behave like cowards if they are truly fighting the interest of Niger Delta. They should be bold enough to come out. When we were bombing, our leader General John Togo did not hide his face. We dealt with the Nigerian Army, and we were not hiding.”

According to the NDLF, “They should not hide their identity. Buhari is not God and they should not be scared of him. JTF should not attack and arrest innocent people in Ijaw communities; they should go for the real saboteurs.

“We told former President Goodluck Jonathan that Nigerian Army couldn’t protect pipelines in the creek. The current Amnesty Chairman Paul Boroh does not know the boys in Niger Delta. He is not in touch with Niger Delta major ex-agitators. Buhari should sack him immediately and appoint another chairman like Kingsley Kuku, who knows the boys in the creek. This will help the current oil war,” the NDLF spokesman man stated.

It would be recalled that the NDLF’s former leader John Togo, who claimed that their main goal is to secede from Nigeria and gain independence from Nigeria, was believed killed on July 19, 2011 in an air strike near Warri, Delta State.

With the death of Togo the NDLF seemed weak and many members joined the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta. Although many members left around 2,500 remained in the NDLF. For the next two years they attacked oil installations on and off.

If all the different militant groups in the Niger Delta are to unify for a common good of full resource control or Niger Delta republic, no force on earth can stop them. They should learn from Atilla the Hun.

You fight for the interest of the Niger Delta by bombing facilities in the region, further chasing investors away from there.

Monies that should have been used in building new infrastructure will end up being used in rebuilding.

You put the lives of the people at risks and expose them to vulnerability.

Smart. Smart. Smart!

Stunted wizards!

There are some children you can reason with, give advise and they will run with it, become successful and so on. Conversely, there are some children you cant reason with because they are too stupid, shortsighted, immature and so on. These last group only learn from avoidable painful mistakes. For instance, you might get a child who insists on wearing their trousers low so that they subsequently walk like penguins. You tell them that although you hate their slovenly carriage, you will tolerate it since it is the current fashion among youths. However, you implore them to take their study's seriously. But they respond by telling you that they want to be a Celebrity when they grow up. Your eyes does this shocked , but you say, 'fine you want to be a Celebrity, but study for a profession too jut in case you fail to become a Celebrity. 'I'm not going to fail', they tell you, 'I'm going to be a celebrity. JZee didn't study and now look at him, a millionaire'. By this time you're seething, but you bare it and try to make sense to them, through clenched teeth. You say for instance, 'look, son, the Music industry thrives by limiting the amount of stars out there. There are billions of people in the world, while there can never be too much Doctors, Accountants, scientist and so on, Musicianship is limited. Even very talented individuals may not make it if they don't meet certain stereotype'. 'No, no', the boy says, 'anyone can be a Celebrity, i could be discovered tomorrow'. You tell him, 'ok, let me see what you're doing to become a star'. The boy starts rapping some crap.

Anyhow the upshot is that no matter what you do or say, this type of youth will never understand because he is the type of youth that only learns from mistakes. The problem is, if you decide to leave them, confident that in future they will regret badly, the satisfaction you get will not make up for the enormity of the tragedy of their failure in life.

Many of these supposedly Niger Delta youths doing militancy are stupid people that you cannot reason with or help see the failure that lies ahead for their so-called Delta Republic . Unfortunately, I TOLD YOU SO is not an option. We cannot wait for them to regret the consequences of their stupid acts.

Stop trying to reason with these people on Niraland, or even in the creeks, they're too thick to understand. Nigeria has to empower the wider community, win the trust of the majority of Niger Deltans.

We are moving away from oil and diversifying the economy.

This President has the will to do so.

Meanwhile, the oil spilled in your senseless quest and consequent environmental devastation will take years to clean up.

Continue the bombing, useless nitwits.

You do more damage to the Niger Delta with your bombings. This is nothing but a puerile method of agitation. Who hurts himself because he wants to be heard? I doubt the altruism of your cause if the only way to achieve it is violence.
