Imagine only a meagre sum of 18.5 billion will be spent on roads passing through SE
SW has 53billion to be spent on roads passing through the zone.

This is serious.

When Nnamdi Kanu speak the truth on the things going on in this geographical contraption, some naive Igbos will be too blind to see.

Anioma only got 2billion.

The 2nd Niger bridge is being concessioned so the 13bn represents government's contribution. So what is being invested is certainly more than 18.5 billion.

Don't be skeptical bro. The cost of the the project is #170b and it is a PPP project government will commit #17b which is 10% of the cost of the project and the concessioneer company will provide the remaining 90% funding, the previous government have release #4b which the current government just complete the commitment of the fg #17b on the project.

Bravo.

How many of such similar FG bridges was concessioned/built under same arrangement before we start dancing and clapping for PDP and APC?

Government should do their part, pay the contractors and monitor their work. Citizens should keep an eye on the projects too..

whats wrong with Ibadan-ile ife road? It's one of the best roads in Nigeria, only the 2km from ipetu to ife toll gate need maintenance and that won't cost more than few millions
Used to be the best your mean. It has fallen cos of neglect and over use. It needs serious attention before it collapses

As usual poor analysis from u. The infamous 5% means d SE and from d above only a paltry 5% of d budget goes there. 5.5b for Enugu/Onitsha and 13b for River Niger gives u total 18.5b. (18.5b/350b)×100=5.2%. U can now hide Ur face in shame. Proudly 5%.Truth is nobody down here is bothered with what ever thing u guys want to do with Naija again as we are all in this chain together.

Oga, The projects listed there are not up to 350 bn so your calculation is inaccurate. It is limited to some roads. There is balanced attention given to all sections of the country from that list.

Besides the 2nd Niger bridge is being concessioned so the investment is much more than that.

Why are you people like this for heaven's sake? If you are not good at analysing & maths, you should have asked for help...

You arrived at your faulty deduction by not taking into account all that the 350b was meant for.

Remove that which has been earmarked for

Healthcare (HIV drugs, Vaccine for babies, contraceptives for low income women)

Agric Resources,

Power installation / rehabilitation

Aviation (I'm sure if you weren't in the usual victim mentality and quick to condemn mode , you'd have seen Construction of Terminal Building For Enugu Airport)) &

Housing .....

Calculate all that is for road & bridges construction in it's totality (All Geo Zones) and divide by the 6 Geo Zones before displaying una usual crap!!! Everybody hates you, everybody hates you, don't you think it's time to check how you project yourself to the world first!! sad

Suddenly zombies now accept there was a 2nd Niger bridge and there are structures on ground that'll warrant additional funding! Hmmmmm!! No wonder many are increasingly disenchanted with Nigeria as one country, as, if a project is not conceived by them, they'll bad mouth it; only to become the "project's consultants" once theirs' grab power.
I can remember how the "Wailers" tried painfully to convince the resident idiots called the zombies about that second Niger bridge and they all turned deaf and dumb but are suddenly lecturers on that same project!.... God punish lord lugard!

The same 2nd Niger Bridge that GEJ spent 5 years without building even with record high oil prices.

At least the government is taking up the responsibility to ensure that it is completed.

Please, stop talking rubbish my friend...Who told you there were no commitment onthe part of Jonathan, The second Niger bridge was flagged off in March 2014 and as at May 2015; 10 out of the 30 billion catalytic funding of the project have being made by the FG and all the substructural works and preliminary works has being completed! So, this vindictive government have no other alternative than to continue from where Jonathan stopped. Or is there any reasonable project they've initiated?

So for 5 years, one bridge could not be completed... What great commitment!! Do you know how many projects have been started and abandoned? Do you know how many agreements Nigeria failed to meet their part?

The budget has been signed, you will see projects that will be completed. Starting from the 2nd Niger bridge. Perhaps you would at least give them a little credit for working on projects.

Sharap! lier Mohammed's disciple, "For five years"; does it mean the project must have being awarded in 2010? won't the project pass through our extant procurement laws before It's award? Go siddon jare! Sudden project consultant.

"Gbogbo egbe e wo leesi, iwo sa ma ja kiri" (literally, all your mates are putting on lace, while you keep fighting about).

In essence, imagine having Oshodi - Apapa fixed, Lagos - Ibadan fixed, Sagamu - Benin fixed, and Ibadan - Ilorin fixed. We know in the next budget God's willing, we are going to have Ibadan - Ife, Ife - Akure, Akure - Owo - Akungba - Ibilo all fixed. Let them continue to call us slaves while we are having our infrastructure fixed. All I know is that we in the South West are going to have a strict immigration policy when the inevitable happens. Who failed to acknowledge? See your manifestly oily mouth! "Government is a continuum"...so they knew? Why stampede the ignorant majority with noises about "Change" only to start the religious continuation of "corrupt" projects?

I have few fears. I hope they implement the projects as the money has been released. The Enugu - Onitsha road has been awarded many times since the administration of OBJ yet nothing to show. ( 2). I pray that the projects are not sabotaged to make the government look inept. There's already argument as who will take credit for the second Niger Bridge. It is such warped mentality that made OBJ flag of the bridge without commitment to funding and Jonathan repeated the flag off to claim credit. PMB may commission the bridge and his supporters will also claim credit. I'm happy that most of the road projects are a continuation from the past administrations; so we are going to have fewer abandoned projects.
