I will take the story serious if the source is UK telegraph or even Guardian. Did Rotimi steal money since 29th May 2015? The only probe till date is Boko Haram money which has dragged many yesterday's men into problem. Simple! 1 Like |

freeze001: The rivers state govt should approach the Efcc with their petition then. But I recall the Efcc said they did due diligence on all the ministers befor they were cleared by the Senate. It is obvious that the rivers state govt have nothing on Amaechi which explains why they danced naked at the Senate to prevent his clearance. Why fight dirty if you have facts, why not do things procedurally. Recall what happened to Reuben Abati, when he jumped into the wagon of those accusing buhari of masterminding violence against Jonathan. Do you remember? Buhari approached the court of law, Reuben Abati and others begged buhari to forgive them and withdraw the case. Reuben Abati especially sponsored a well drafted apology in the dailies. Mind you, Jonathan was the president then. 1 Like 1 Share |

ogmask: You do realise the EFCC can initiate its own investigations don't you? I believe you're also aware that Amaechi has been indicted by the panel of inquiry set up by the State Government? It's very much public knowledge that petitions have been forwarded to the EFCC against Amaechi but the EFCC, being under the full control of the Presidency can pick and choose what petitions to honour. If the EFCC has chosen to ignore anything about Amaechi as is evident, what do you expect Rivers govt to do? The vetting by security agencies before clearance by the Senate would have only taken cognisance of ongoing investigations or cases and conveniently, there is none against Amaechi so why wouldn't he become Minister? Keep to the subject and reason accordingly please. The issue between Abati and Buhari wasn't on financial crime or fraud. It was an issue of defamation of character as alleged by Buhari against Abati so of course, the offended party took recourse to the court. |

Rotimi Amaechi is a phenomenon which no rational mind can understand. How on earth could Rotimi Amaechi use River's state funds to finance the return of people who have been holding the Niger delta as captured war booty? |

freeze001: My brother, if the Efcc refuses to act they can approach the court directly with their white paper. Trust me they ddnt find anything on Amaechi. With the kind of amount they claimed he stole they should be very uncomfortable by now seeing Amaechi moving about. They do not have Jack on him bro. Let them initiate a court action and shout about it let's see how the case will not go on. For your info, the head of the panel u mentioned is an arch enemy of Amaechi. A pro Jonathan judge whose court they have approached many times and left with favourable judgements. They should do what they have to do and stop all this propaganda. |

The crux of the matter remains that none of them starting from the military regime up till now is clean. They've all being caught or accused of stealing from the cookie jar. And that is very bad. If the state decides to probe Amaechi, also remember that he was once the Governor and some certain undercover deals also included the incumbent and some of his cabinet members. There is no option of eating alone, you have to share to others so as to reduce leaks or probes. So this corruption fight is just a smoke screen, massive looting still goes on. If really we want change, we have to seize power from the old polithiefians. Nothing less would suffice. |

We in eastern Nigeria understand that Buhari's talk that he's fighting corruption is a no brainer. It's only Buhari's zombies from the south west Nigeria that can be fooled. Buhari's northern people don't regard stealing oyel money as thievery, |

ogmask: First i am female. There would be no point instituting such action because it would most likely get thrown out due to lack of jurisdiction! Legal matters aren't undertaken off the cuff, there are procedures please! You have already labelled the judge a pro-Jonathan judge so will you not be the first to scream bias if the state government institutes an action in its own courts? |

seunmsg: Were you the one that charged Metuh, Dasuki, Dokpesi, Ohakim etc to court? Was it not EFCC and DSS that invited and arraigned them on their own? Why are you now insisting that RSG should charge Amaechi to court? |
Re: Amaechi Accused Of Stealing £500million - Dailymail Uk by ogmask: 2:21pm On May 15, 2016 |
BeardedMeat: See below your credible source' publication. Some of that money is likely to have come from UK taxpayers, who gave the country £1billion in aid over five years to 2014, including £248million in 2014 alone. Was Amaechi the president of Nigeria in the years leading to 2014? They are so credible they credited Amaechi with Jonathan's theft. |

Look at how these sophisticated chameleons are shamelessly defending Amaechi (corruption), but when it comes to PDP members accused of stealing they start forming anti corruption gurus. Buhari has no integrity, he can only deceive the zombies. 1 Like 1 Share |

seunmsg: Which agency has so far handled the cases of corruption in this government? How many politicians have been prosecuted by any other agency apart from EFCC ever? Why has EFCC chosen to keep mum over accusations directed at Amaechi? Why not invite him and then clear him, if he's truly innocent? |

All the allegations Wike and the PDP levelled against Amaechi was ONLY aimed at stopping him from getting any meaningful position from Buhari's government after helping in ousting their man from power. Fullstop! Immediately Buhari unlooked them and appointed him that was the end of the allegations. Daily Mail bringing all these unsubstantiated and bogus stories now is just the handiwork of Ibori and Diezani in the UK. WIKE knows it's all cock and bull stories, now that he's a governor he knows better. |
