Most of them Screw u on updates $$
or limit what it can Diagnose..

OR is PC with Adapters better?

Which tool do you think is best to save or find here if so
with so many ODB COM adapters . What goes with what..

NO scan tool can do everything, such a Scantool does not exist, since you are working on different brands, you need a dealer level scan tool, such as Autel maxidas or the Autel maxisis ms90*, or snap on verus, or launch X431, or OTC encore, or you can also get a Launch easydiag, $40 for update, I don't know for OTC, snap on is complicated, but Autel is $500 a year, but the first year is free.
when it comes to scan tools, it is a kind if give and take, the easydiag pro or something, from Launch Is cool and uses your smartphone, the first two cars are free, then every other car is free, of course the generic OBD2 function is free, but the easydiag does not do bidirectional controls, while Autel maxidas does the bidirectional, I will be upgrading to the maxisys very soon, so take that one, the maxisys pro has scope capabilities, just do ur research and determine what you need.
