The rashes will clear off by itself. All I did when my son used to have rashes around his mouth was to clean his mouth after breastfeeding him cos it was d milk residue that was causing it and it cleared off. HappySmokey: 1 Like |

rofemiguwa:. Babes relax....this too will pass.I remember when I had my son, he had scaly back which used to peel off, I came here and saw some mama's hailing Sebamed, I bought the soap and cream.I noticed that it stopped, after a while it came out again..i just removed my mind from it and it went on its own.You may want to visit the hospital again and take ur mind off it for a while... It can't be on her face forever... |

I don't want it to cover her face before it starts clearing. Wish there was sometin I can do to aid the healing and stop the rash from growing further. I jus tire sis zaynie: |

rofemiguwa: Please take her to a paed tomorrow. He will know better if it is an allergic reaction or simply a case of sensitive skin. Just keep calm. Being a mother means being calm even when you feel like tearing out your hair. You are a biologist, calm down....observe/analyse and the answer will come to you. |

After giving birth, baby was in the hospital nursery for some days. During bath time, nurses told us to use just Savlon to bath them(it acts as soap cos it lathers well in the sponge) and apply nothing to their skin till like 6months after. I was surprised but decided to try it out n see. Baby is 7 weeks now, gets the occassional rashes but his skin is very very fine. I'd bought coconut oil prior to baby's birth(intended using it for him) but as I'm following hospital's instructions(though I can't wait till he's 6months o!), I decided to use the coconut oil on myself. Chai!! I sweat like mad anytime I use it no matter the time of day I have my bath. So I'm wondering if Oga too will sweat so much if I use for him too? And, do you suggest just coco oil or a mixture with shea butter? Rofemiguwa, how's your princess? Pls don't sweat it, rashes will clear. Pele. |

rofemiguwa:I will suggest you let it be so it can clear on its own. Stop applying all those things. My child had it few days/weeks after birth and it cleared on its own. You ve already used many things on it and it doesn't seem to be working. Just commot your mind from there. Kpele. 2 Likes |

rofemiguwa: Lets try not using soap on her face for a while just to see. It may be an allergy. You'll wipe the face with just a wet face towel for now. Hope this helps |

In a move that is gauranteed to leave all sane mouth gaping, the Lagos Division of the Court Of Appeal has set aside the decision of a Lagos FHC which on May 17, 2012, ordered the forfeiture of the Assets and winding down of all activities of Barewa Pharmaceutical company , Makers of substandard and contaminated teething mixture which killed numerous infants and young children all over the country. http://www.labellemo.com/2016/06/miscarriage-of-justice-appeal-court.html 1 Like 1 Share |

byolitabeauty: If his skin is peeling, might be that he is healing, Use the red acalypha plant, if he is fat baby, raise his neck and make sure you reach the folds when bathing and then make sure the folds are always dry. Ela can be stubborn, you may need to see a doctor to get a lasting solution. |

modath: Well, that's just gangster... Moral of the story: don't give your child anything that is not recommended by medical people with sound knowledge. And most teething mixtures ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.... ...But people will never hear; we will still come here and read parents proudly saying "I am giving my child Piccan/Teething Mixture/Cough syrup/Antibiotics that were not prescribed/pouring all sorts of mixtures on baby's skin/Rubbing powder all over the child/making the baby swallow Agbo" etc and wonder later on what could be the problem. Meanwhile I've just given Baby E groundnuts for first time ever, so I'm sitting down watching to see if she reacts to it (we have some family allergens). And instead of her to learn how to walk, she's there mastering how to climb. She has climbed the couch and centre table today alone. How's LBK? 4 Likes |

rofemiguwa:this is most likely a reaction! not all babies like this strong antiseptic stuffs they are exposed to my son had a reaction similar to this even though it was just on his face then! his peadiatrician suggested I stop the soap and all the over antiseptic stuffs he recommended I get a mild soap (most toilet soaps) are mild mild I obeyed and started using giv soap i hope thats the name my sons skin cleared up in 3 days by a week he was sparkling I didnt have issues with cream as i was using local shear butter and thats what he uses till this day no issues whatsoever. And you need to Relax you sound too worried! get a mild soap and proceed from there 4 Likes |
