obailala: Anambra ain got a patch on us Delta State, our target is 100 percent oily soil. By the time we are finished, no need for oil platforms and drilling, the nation will save money by simply being able to scoop oil from the top of the ground. We're very progressive folks. 3 Likes |

kernel501:@ kernel501 its a very good development on both the farming and rice mill, from the writing I understand that the biggest farm in anambra is targeting 5000 metric tonnes as against 3000 tonnes but Nigeria consumed approximately 7 million tonnes and kebbi state alone produces over 1 million tonnes , truthfully Anambra state need to do alot more to be among the top rice producing state in Nigerian 1 Like |

Metallurgist:1 million tonnes? wow that's huge!.. That means Anambra is still in kindergarten. But then, most states are still in the womb. 1 Like |

These governors that are cluesless on how to generate IGR for thier states should take a clue from Gov Obiano and start up something meaninful in thier states rather than sit thier ass down all day waiting on free oil money. 1 Like |

The calamity of oil price drop is indeed a blessing to this country. Kudos to the Anambra govt on this initiative. Now our governors must stop taking begging bowls to abuja monthly to receive charity because the funds now come in trickles. Even the ND states who have additional 13% derivation are not finding it easy e.g Bayelsa so states who don't even have palm oil would have to find another way to earn their keep. Also the the NASS should get serious for once and start discussions on allowing states more freedom to own whatever minerals they have in their domain including crude oil while they pay tax to the FG. We will yet smile by God's grace. 1 Like |
