I understand you. The show is allowed to go in a different direction than the books. What I mentioned earlier was regarding the fact whether they're female white walkers so I quoted that legend about the WW being an ex lord commander. Whether or not the show follows the theory doesn't make it invalid.

I don't think there was a Night watch before the walkers were created. It was after the creation of the WW that mankind erected a wall to separate and protect themselves from the WW. About WW being only female, remember Craster? When Gilly told Sam that if her child is a boy he will be killed/sacrificed to the WW, but if its a girl she will live.

Bro you're the one mixing it up. The nights king was not created by the children of the forest. The children of the forest created the first WW not the nights king. They are two different persons in the books. The show is yet to introduce the nights kings in its plot.

The Night's King in the books was no Other. He was a Lord Commander shortly after the wall was built. The 13th, who fell in love with an Other and gave her his soul. The producers just loved that name, "Night's King", and chose it for the leader of their White Walkers. There is no contra.
