The question still comes: if it takes this "serious government" 1 year to recover looted funds totalling around $200 million then how long with it take them to recover the "$15 billion" they claimed went missing through arms procurement not to mention the $20 billion that "disappeared from our treasury" according to Sanusi and another $10 billion that were unaccounted for from the NNPC's unaudited accounts under Obj/Yaradua/Jonathan? Don't feel giddy, don't throw insults at me, just answer me my friend cheesy

FYI: we are talking about $45 billion in total here cheesy you can minus the $200 million recovered so far cheesy

Exactly, but let's start with this first. I believe more with eye brow raising figures will follow..

Very Good.

Unfortunately, this fall short of Nigerians expectation. Anyway, we are studying the list, appropriate response to follow.

We actually expect to see something like this...

s/n Names Amount Looted Amount Recovered Explanation

1. Sambo Dansuki $50,000,000,000,000 $20,000,000,000,000 Arms deal

3. Rotimi Amaechi $99,000,000,000,000 No need, now a new creature (Party Chief Financier)

What kind of report is this and which school these people went to? They can actually sum up cars, incomplete buildings and plots of land? No ways these guys have capacity for the job, they can not even format the excel sheets properly. Pity this country called Nigeria.

What is the point of jeopardizing your investigations by releasing people's names? This is a good summary.
As long as the case is still in court, there is no money recovered. Most of the amount listed here are still undergoing litigations. It is foolhardy of anyone to list it as recovered funds.

The only money recovered so far are from those who returned it voluntarily in return for plea bargain deal

Mr Bean...

So there are no legal issues when GEJ , Diezani , Dasuki and others names were released with bogus figures attached even before prosecution?

tbaba1234:

King solomon...

It is not vague. There are legal issues with releasing people names like that. This gives a good summary of the progress so far.

Vision less govt. How can u say u recovered money frozen in an account? All those monies will be claimed by their owners cos they are being taken from them by force. They will sue the govt in future to have their monies back with interest, unless they are legally convicted. Nonsense.

The cash that has been recovered so far was the first table.

The second table shows the cash under forfeiture, those are the cases being investigated or in court. Even we get 50% of that money, this year budget will be funded.

This is telling you the story so far. Hopefully we can secure a few conviction and recover more.

...just like his "public" assets declaration.
Too much obscurity.

PhockPhockMan:
But Buhari, in the document titled, ‘I pledge to Nigeria’ had also said that all his political appointees would only earn salaries and allowances as prescribed by the Revenue and Mobilisation and Fiscal Allocation Commission.

He said, “I pledge to publicly declare my assets and liabilities, encourage all my appointees publicly declare their assets and liabilities as a pre-condition for appointment. All political appointees will only earn the salaries and allowances determined by the RMFAC. I pledge, as Commander-in-Chief, to lead from the front and not behind in the comfort and security of Aso Rock, to boost the morale of fighting forces and the generality of all Nigerians.”

Thank You PMB. I never expected this type of recoveries, look at what some few individuals stole and Nigerians want the president to perform wonders as if he is a miracle walker. may God punish those that have looted our collective wealth and give them incurable sickness. For those that will accused PMB for the nose dive of the economy you I'll never have peace in this life, may your labour in life be stolen away from you.
For those of you that will call me zombie don't waste your time I have already activated it already.
